Chapter 17- Revelation

(Ella's POV)
"Meet my father, Aaron Fred Benson." Gage introduced. I stood up and approached them.

"Dad, meet Ella Danes." Mr. Benson looked a little bit shocked at first but then he smiled and we shook our hands.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Benson." I said.

"Just call me Aaron." He said.

"Okay, Aaron." I said and we all sat. Gage's mother, who is Mrs. Sunshine Benson also insisted to call her Sunshine. Sunshine put the foods on the table. We started to eat after we said our graces.

"So, you're the daughter of Jade and Alex Danes?" Aaron asked. I gulped and nodded.

"How are they?" He asked. Sunshine and Gage were focused on their food.

"They're okay." I said.

"Can you tell Jade that I said hi." He smiled and I nodded.

"Sure." I said.

"So how did you and Gage met?" Sunshine asked.

"It's kind of a funny story. I saved someone who was afraid of the dog and then the dog chased me, and Gage, he saved me." I told them.

"Oh, that's so sweet of you Gage." Sunshine said.

"There's a lacking moment in your story about how we met." Gage said and smirked.

"Uh, forget about it-" Then he cut me off.

"Ella here, lied about her name and she told me that time that her name was Rihanna." Gage said.

"I was not going to give my name to some stranger!" I defended.

"To some stranger who just saved you." He said.

"Okay fine, I was bored." I admitted. Aaron and Sunshine laughed.

"You're funny-" Sunshine was cut off by the ringing of my phone.

I answered the call. I excused myself and walked outside.

"Hello?"

"Honey, where are you?" Mom asked.

"I'm at Gage's house having a dinner. Why'd you asked?"

"You need to go home. Who's Gage?"

"Gage Benson, son of Aaron Benson. Aaron said hi by the way." I told her. She was quiet for seconds then she spoke up.

"Go home, now. We're planning about your upcoming wedding." Mom ordered.

Ugh! Fuck.

"But I haven't yet finished eating dinner." I said.

"Go home once you are done, we'll wait here in the house." Mom said and she ended the call. I walked inside the house and sat at the chair. We continued to eat.

"Time for desserts!" Sunshine announced and our faces filled with excitement. She went to the kitchen and went back with a strawberry pie. She put the strawberry pie on the table and went back to the kitchen to get the knife and chocolate syrup.
