"How 'bout you guys stay over tonight" my father said as he took the lasagna out from the oven. "You haven't stayed in a while and I think it's time!"

My father placed the steaming pan on the counter and started to cut the food up into pieces. I got up from my seat so I could help carry plates over to the table, watching Luke just let me as he once again did nothing. It's not that I don't love Luke, I do! It's just sometimes he can get so annoying! "I donno Dad! I've got a bio test on Monday and I told Simone I would study with her!" I said as I grabbed two of the three plates of lasagna.

My father, grabbing the last plate, started walking towards the table. "I'll have you home early tomorrow morning! Then you'll have the whole day to study with Simone!"

I sighed as I looked over at Luke. He shrugged his shoulders, showing me he didn't care. "Alright" I agreed "As long as I'm home by 9 tomorrow!"

A smile spread across my fathers face as he placed his hand over his heart. "I swear!"

We all quickly ate our dinners and then spent the rest of the night watching movies, playing board games and eating junk food. All the good things in life. It wasn't until 2:30 that I lifted myself up from the couch, removing myself from the very intense game of boggle, and made my way to bed. I was serious about the whole 9 o'clock thing. Bio was not a class I could fail!

"Are you sure you don't want to play one more round Rain?" My father asked as he shook up the dice again.

"Yeah Dad. I'm sure!" I said before yawning, just for added affect!

My father shrugged before sending me off to bed with a "Your loss, but good night!".

I blew him and Luke each kisses before making my way down the long hallway towards the bedrooms. Mine was all the way at the end of the hall. It wasn't anything special being that I spent most of my time at my moms but it still felt like mine. Which was nice.

Once in my room I changed into a tank top and shorts before crawling under the covers and slowly drifting off into a peaceful sleep.

"Damn it!" Simone said as she flopped back against the couch "I don't get it!"

I chuckled as I grabbed a pen and paper and started to draw out to her what I was explaining. "The enzyme comes and separates the two strands of DNA. Letting the RNA nucleotides come in and make up the DNA sequence, that way it can travel back out to the cytoplasm and deliver the information that's needed for the proteins to be made!"

Simone looked at me like I was crazy before grabbing the the pen and paper from me and chucking it across the room. "NO" she yelled "We've been studying for hours, it's Sunday night! Let's go do something!"

I looked down at my book, we were barely half way through, and I knew that if I stopped now then I probably wouldn't ever finish. I was about to tell her to go on her own, that I had to stay here and study, but suddenly she was grabbing the text book from my lap and chucking it across the room to  where the pen and paper where.

"It's Sunday Rainie! Come on!"

I looked up at my -obviously crazy- best friend. She was doing her puppy dog eyes, there so not as cute as she thinks they are, but I didn't really want to study anyways so it didn't take much to convince me.

"Alright alright!" I said "What do you wanna do?"

Simone looked down at me, a mischievous glint in her eyes "Party"

I hadn't even gotten a word out of my mouth before Simone was dragging me up the stairs to my room, rambling about how it was time for me to 'break out of my shell' and 'live a little'. When we got to my room Simone pushed me down on my bed and ripped my closet open, flipping through the clothes I had.
