The rest of the week went by pretty uneventfully, class, homework, pretend social life, more of the usual.

And then the next thing I knew, it was Friday. Date night with Daniel.

"So, you're going out with Daniel? This is a twist in the Rainie Hewitt love story!" Simone said as she flipped through my closet, trying to help me pick out something to wear for my date tonight.

"The Rainie Hewitt love story?" I asked as I shot her a questioning look "You're crazy, you know that?"

Simone shrugged as she pulled a dress out from my closet. It was blue, tight on top, flary on the bottom, super flattering. It was also in really good condition, despite being 2 years old. Dresses weren't really my thing, so the few I had stayed nice for years.

"This is the one!" Simone said as she admired it, obviously falling in love with it. Simone's just like that, she likes boys, but she loves clothes.

"Ooh and these flats!" She gushed as she lifted them from the floor "Talk about adorable!"

Rolling my eyes, I lifted myself up from my bed and grabbed the dress and shoes from her hands. I quickly stripped down and slipped the dress on over my head. It got down to right above my knee and really did go nicely with my white flats. It was the perfect outfit, nice but not too fancy, casual but not too simple. God Simone should seriously consider a job in fashion.

"Look at you hot stuff!" Simone gushed as she admired the way I looked. "Daniel is gonna die!"

I laughed as I grabbed my makeup bag from where I placed it on my dresser and opened it up, spilling its contents onto my bed. I honestly had no clue what I was supposed to do, I didn't go on to many dates, which is why I still relied on Simone whenever I got one. The girl literally saved me on a regular basis.

"I'm thinking some eyeliner and a swipe of lip gloss. Pretty but simple!" Simone muttered as she looked through the different makeup tubes sprawled across my bed.

I nodded as I grabbed my black eyeliner and my favorite strawberry lip gloss, applying them quickly. I must say that once again, Simone was right. The girl was a genius. I bet that she could make a monkey look good if she tried.

"If I was an artist, and you were my piece of art, I would be making millions off you!" Simone said proudly as she looked back and admired the way I looked... again.

I laughed at her statement. I don't know where or how she came up with this stuff, but sometimes I feel like maybe I should take her to get tested. You can never be too careful.

My phone buzzed from beside me, bringing me back to reality. I lifted it up from my night stand and saw a text from Max. My heart fluttered a little bit - much to my disappointment. I can't like Max! He has a girlfriend, and I'm about to go out on a date with Daniel, god, what was wrong with me?

Max:

Hey you ;)

Simone read the text over my shoulder and I didn't even have to look at her to know she was smiling.

"Ooh, it's lover boy!" she gushed "The plot thickens!"

I shot her a glare as I packed all my stuff away, ignoring the text from Max and tidying up my room quickly. My mom was cool and all, but leave a room messy for too long and her dark side comes out.

"There is no Rainie Hewitt love story!" I said sternly as I ushered her out of my room.

Simone smirked "Well, not yet! I have to see how everything plays out, then I'll write the Rainie Hewitt love story!"
