I had Delilah text everyone, and tell them we were going to "the spot." Ever since we were little, if anything was troubling us, we would go to this spot in the park. It was a spot where you could look over the cliffs to the waterfall. It helped us calm down anytime something was bothering us. We pulled into the parking lot, and I cried. I looked at Delilah who was still in tears from the station. We waited in the car silently until the others showed up. As soon as Jinx, Alex and Autumn pulled up, Delilah and I exited the car. We ran off to the spot, like we used to when we were kids with Alex, Jinx and Autumn chasing after us. I pulled Delilah into a tight hug as Alex, Jinx and Autumn arrived at the spot. I watched as they all ran to the edge of the cliffs, like we did when we were younger. I pulled Delilah along so that she could join the group too.
"I miss being back here. It brings back so many memories," Delilah said, trying to stop crying.
"Remember that one time we came?" I said, reminiscing.
"You'll have to be a bit more specific Clover," Jinx reminded me.
"Are you talking about the time Loren and Delilah had their first drinks here? Or the time when you and Bishop came down here and did the nasty?" Alex said, laughing.
"Clover Lynn! Why didn't I know about this?" Autumn asked. I shrugged, mostly because I thought she already knew. "Oh well, it's whatever. I've done more than that here."
"And you call me a bad kid!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
We all giggled, and looked out at the waterfall. It was so majestic and so beautiful. Breathtaking, (I do believe) is the word for it. I have never seen anything that beautiful in my life; never before, and probably never again. It's beautiful. I started to tear up, and grabbed Autumn's hand. We all grabbed each other's hands and cried a little. It is so difficult being here without Loren. I'm pretty sure that's what we were all thinking.
"You guys, Loren wouldn't want us blubbering over her being dead," Autumn said, fighting the tears.
"Y-yeah. Autumn's right," Alex said, trying to stop crying.
"We need to get up and fight for her," Delilah said, wiping tears from her eyes.
"But what are we even going to do?" Jinx asked.
"We get up and fight," Autumn said.
"We go out there and find the little fucker who killed her," I stated, breathing slowly.
"And we clear our names," Jinx added.
"And we clear our names," we all repeated.
We left the spot with a new point of view; Find out who killed Loren. We wouldn't let it consume us, even if it meant that we would die trying.
A/N: So, I'm sorry this is leaving on a cliff hanger. HOWEVER, this isn't going to be the end of the story. And I know that this is a super short chapter, but I couldn't think of stuff to write, and it's really just a transition chapter anyway, so it works? Um, I hope you continue reading this! Thank you for your support! ~A.A
