Senior Skip Day; Clover's POV

"Clover, you, Alex and Loren need to hurry up! Or I'm going to leave you! I'm not afraid to go to the lake house alone!" Jinx screamed, trying to zip up the suitcases.

"Noo babe! Don't leave me!" Alex screamed in turn. before racing down the stairs with his suitcase and hugging Jinx tightly.

"You kinda can't leave Clover. She's the only one who knows where this fucking place is." Loren said while walking down the stairs.

"Yeah fucker," I said jokingly.

We brought down all of our suitcases while my sister, Autumn, was putting sandwiches and sodas in the cooler. 

"Are you sure y'all are going to be okay? We haven't been done there in years, since the accident.." Autumn said, doubting our choices.

The accident... I still remember what happened. It was ten years ago; our mom and dad were coming back from the lake house and they somehow ran off the road. The police said it was foul play, meaning murder. I may have only been seven, but I understood a lot more than you would've thought. My mom was so fun; she took Autumn and I out one day every week to go skating. Then my dad was like a normal father. He was there when I needed him, but out of the way when I didn't. That was my normal, but he was always there with Autumn. He never left her side, even whenever she fucked up majorly. I think she'd be able to get away with murder. But she was the first born, so I could've seen that coming. I mean, I'm not complaining about the fact that he was never there for me, just that he passed away and I never got to spend some quality time with him. 

"Clover? Are you okay? You kind of zoned out..." Alex said calmly, rushing over to me.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine.. Just reminiscing in the days when I had parents. No big deal.." I replied, trying not to cry or freak Alex or Autumn out.

Alex wrapped me in a tight hug, and told me everything would be okay. Sooner than I thought though, we were leaving to go to the last place my parents were alive.
