Defensive.

Violet hugged Sportacus' hips as they walked, he looked down a bit surprised. "thank you Sportacus."
"Anytime, Violet."
Sportacus had never done such a thing before. he never got defensive and protective like that before. when he saw Violet hiding in a tree to avoid them made him very upset. it was a fatherly trait. like a lion defending her cubs.
"Lets play a game together." he suggested.
"What game?" Ronan asked.
"hmmm...how about Frisbee." he said.
"That sounds like fun."
Sportacus threw the frisbee in the air and Ronan caught it.
"Good job, now pass it to Violet."
Ronan threw it to her and she jumped, catching it and throwing it behind her back. Sportacus was so shocked it hit him in the gut, she really was his daughter,
"Sorry Spo. are you okay?" she came running to her father. Spo sat up and laughed.
"That was a great throw. I'm fine." he jumped up and threw it again with Ronan catching it again.
violet came over and caught the frisbee and whispered in Ronan's ear. Spo looked on a bit curious before he caught it again.
"Get him!" Violet and Ronan charged at him. Ronan grabbed his leg and Violet jumped o his back. Spo laughed and decided to play along, "Aah! oh no! you've got me!" he said pretending to stagger and stumble.
"Oh no! Im going to fall!" Ronan jumped off his leg and Spo held Violet in place as he fell.
"Aah!" Violet landed on top of him.
Spo started to laugh, "You should've seen your face!" he said holding his stomach.
"That wasn't funny Spo!" I could've died." her response only made Spo laugh harder.
"Hey stop laughing."
"Oh cheer up. You're alive aren't you?" he said tickling her off of him before he stood up.
She started chasing him around and Ronan joined in blocking him at the tree, "Two against one is not fair."
"Get him Ronan."
"No, Ronan get violet." Spo tried to convince him.
The twins were looking on in the distance, "they're such dorks."
"Maybe, but they're having fun." Robbie said as he popped out from behind the wall.
Amelia and Jackson looked at him and scowled. he only smiled for he could see that they  looked just like him. same eyes, same hair and same sour scowl upon their faces.
"what are you looking at, you old fart?" Jackson said. Robbie chuckled.
"That's what I'm trying to figure out."
"Great come back Grandpa." Amelia chimed in.
"oooh, like i haven't heard that one before." Robbie wanted to see how Rotten they were, he never really payed much attention to them until now.
"Butt face."
"Really? because I thought my smile was from side to side not vertical."
"Then you need a second look in the mirror."
"So do you. look like a pair of blood sucking vampires."
"better than a guy who looks like the Grinch."
"Better be nice to me or I'll steal your Christmas."
The twins gasped and stared at him, he walked away and tried to keep from laughing.
"Hes pretty cool." Jackson said absently staring after him.
Amelia looked at her brother, "Are you kidding me? he just insulted us."
Jackson shrugged and Amelia just walked away from her brother.

Stephanie came out and saw Sportacus and the kids playing. The sun was starting to set on the town and Steph had a great idea for Spo and Violet to bond.
"Hey guys I started a bonfire in the back yard. care to join me and make some smores?"
"Yay! Smores!" Ronan and Violet raced into the house and Spo walked with Stephanie.
"Did you have a good day?" he asked her.
"I'm tired. I cleaned the house all day long."
"Why didn't you ask for help?"
"You were playing with the kids I didn't want you to be bothered. plus Violet seems like shes having the time of her life with you. you two need to bond more."
"Violet and I have a
life time to bond. We can spare some time to help you out. That's why I'm here anyway."
he said brushing her pink hair from her face. she blushed and smiled, "I love you."
"I love you too." he hugged her and kissed the top of her head. "I know you're used to being a single mom and doing things by yourself. But now you have me to help you."
"I know."
"Come on, lets get you relaxed by the fire." he led her in the house.
"Tomorrow is her birthday."
"I know."
"Are you ready?"
""How are we going to do it?"
"I have a few plans."
"I cant wait to hear them." they joined Ro and Vivi near the fire and Spo wrapped a blanket around the kids' shoulders.
"Here Sportacus have one." Violet said handing him a smore. Spo shook his head, "I'm allergic to sugar."
"Good. so am I."
Sportacus looked at Stephanie, "Its true. Shes allergic to all things sweet. We don't keep it in the house."
"Oh i see." he took the smore that Violet so lovingly made for him and ate it.
"Oh that's good."
"Of course. everyone likes smores." she giggled.
"So Violet, what are your plans for tomorrow?" her mom asked.
"Before the party?"
"Yeah."
"I thought I'd just start it like any normal day." Violet thought. "Is the school closed tomorrow?"
"Yeah. Why did you want to get in some practice?"
"Yes. If thats okay."
"Of course it is sweetie."
"Okay, so I wake up. eat breakfast and practice until my party."
"Sounds like a great idea."
"Everyone is invited?"
"Yep. Including the twins."
"Oh no."
"Come on Violet. Their father and mother are my best friends. you can stomach them for one day."
"I stomach them everyday."
"Yeah, but tomorrow they wont pick on you. ill make sure of it."
"Okay."
The stars came out and it was almost time for bed when Violet looked up at the sky, "Wait! a shooting star!" she spotted the star that zipped across the sky like a rocket. she closed her eyes and made a wish.
