Y/N POV

Yang and I were walking to her dorm, chatting with her about the date we just went on. We were laughing up a storm before we reached her dorm. We heard giggling, ruffling, and squeaking. We looked at each other, our looks wearing the same expression. Confusion. Slowly, we opened the door to look inside only to find darkness and nothingness.

I looked at Yang before nodding. I slowly brought out my knife that I would hold when I either lose my weapon in battle or I was out without my weapon and something would happen. Either way, this seemed way too suspicious to me and I would not hold back.

Sapphire POV

When is Y/N going to fully open that door? My legs are killing me right now. I still have this weapon upgrade for him and my arm his hurting from it.

Y/N POV

Once I realize that we were probably hearing things I opened the door fully and put away my knife. Well, I was about to complete that process until Sapphire appeared out of nowhere and caused me to chuck my knife at him. Scaring the shit out of him and causing him to drop something.

"What the fuck was that for? Stiff much?" Sapphire asked as he rubbed his head.

"Sorry man. Don't fucking jump out like that then," I shot back as he got up.

"Yo Saph what is all this?" Yang asked before Ruby jumped out of the closet. LITERALLY and IN CLOTHES! Pervs...

"We were about to throw a party since Y/N is feeling happier now! We even got you two presents," Ruby said in such a giddy mood.

"What?" I asked.

"We got you two presents! Y/N here is your's," Sapphire stated as he handed my gift to me. Oum this is so confusing.

"Yang here is your's," Ruby said as she gave Yang her present to her.

"Why am I getting one? I can see Y/N because of the hard work he went through and it's his birthd-" Yang started before I cut her off.

"Birth dance!" I exclaimed before she could say anymore.

"What?" Ruby asked in utter confusion. Why the hell did I choose that word?

"What the hell is that?" I hear Sapphire ask.

"A dance I always do on my birthday," I say as I try to stay calm.

"When is your birthday?" Ruby asked excitedly.

"It is F/B (fake birthday)" I answered.

"We'll be waiting for that day."

"Okay." I waved nervously as I looked at the couple leaving.

We both waited for them to leave at least the hallway. Once we heard footsteps leaving we knew we were in the clear. Yang looked at me angered for some reason. What the hell did I do?

"What the hell? Why did you lie to them?" Yang asked.

"I don't want them to know when my birthday is. It is still sort of a sensitive spot for me."

"I know you had it hard back before you came to Beacon, but that doesn't mean that it should be a sensitive spot."

"I know, but--"

"But nothing. You need to be honest with your friends. They're not going to do what Weiss did to you. You have their trust."

"Alright. I guess so."

"Well I'm gonna head for the training area.I want to make sure I'm tough enough to protect everyone I love."

"I'll come with. I've probably gotten rusty in that time moping about."

"So I won't be hearing any complaints when I beat you?"

"One time it happened. You caught me off guard."

"Well who's to say it didn't excited you a little~"

I stayed silent before heading off to the training grounds with a flushed face. I had tried his best to cover it up but I had no hoodie nor mask to help me hide it. Meanwhile, Yang was giggling to herself with her eyes closed and her hand by her mouth.

Soon we had arrived at the training grounds. I see Sapphire training and Ruby watching him before turning her attention towards us. I was a bit in a happier mood. Seeing Ruby's gentle smile made her look motherly and warm.

"Hey! Y/N! You're here! Areyoubetter? Howareyou? Didyoubringcookies?" she says to me before I put a hand up.

"Calm down. Slow down before you overload your brain."

"Are you better?"

"When was I sick?"

"You know what I mean."

"I know I'm just messing with you Rubes," I say as I pat her head with a close-eyed smile.

"I see you're feeling happier than usual. What happened?" Sapphire asked.

"We just went to the movies. That's about it. I also learned that people can be selfish asshats who care not for anyone else, but their own desires, lusts, and greed. But in actuality I am fine for the most part."

"Well then..... Want to release some steam? Two-on-two spar?"

"Hell yeah!"

"Me and Ruby vs. Y/N and Yang."

"Got it."

"Ready? GO!!!"

A/N: Howdy do! How is everyone. I hope you all think this was worth the wait. On a side note I have read a few comments that have gotten my interest in this book and I may or may not have replied, but anyway, one that is worth mentioning was how Y/N was being a total, whiny bitch. Well just to clarify, I have read cheater books where the reader has taken things out of proportion and decide to blow up the entire universe. I mainly strive to write a book that is different from the others and I wish to give a different experience. Yes, there are some books that started like this one, but I want to show that we all get beaten down to the bottom. I want to show that you are not the only one who believes life is hard. There were moments in my life where I just wanted to end it, but I'll leave that at that. What I'm trying to say is I am making Y/N for from nearly one of the best to being broken down to overcoming the challenge and realizing he could be doing something else. Anyways, enough rambling, I hope you guys have enjoyed and I will see you all in the next chapter. Ciao!
