A Fine Halloween and Birthday

Ruby POV

I slowly wake up in my dorm room to find that I was the only one awake. Looking at the time, I decide to get up and get ready. Only to look at my scroll and smile brightly. It's my BIRTHDAY!!!

Soon, after a while I get out of the bathroom all dressed up and grinning. "Morning sis. What's got you all excited today?" I hear Yang ask me.

"Oh it's just that it's a really important day for me?" I say grinning. Giddy and happy.

"Is it an anniversary?" she asks.

"No."

"A concert you've been wanting to go to?"

"No."

"Then I can't think of it," she says, causing my smile to falter.

Then a knock is heard at the door and I head over to open it. Sapphire is then seen on the other side and I squeal happily. I tackle him into a hug and make him fall onto Team JNPR's door.

Sapphire POV

After hitting the door to Tean JNPR's dorm I look to Ruby's team and give a thumbs up. We all decided to do the cliche thing to do and just pretend to forget her birthday until the end of the day. They all nod and I quickly look to Ruby and say, "Hey Ruby. Do you want to hang out in Vale today?"

"Yes of course! At least you remembered!" she said giddily and I wore a face of fake confusion.

"Remembered what?" I asked, hoping my act is convincing.

"Oh.... Nothing," she says saddened.

"Oh well anyways, I was thinking of taking you to that new bakery that opened up on Tucker Ave," I say smiling at her. She immediately jumps up and drags me off to Vale using her semblance.

"Oh yeah! Let's GO!" she yells as she drags me to Vale.

Y/N POV

I watch as Sapphire was dragged into Vale and waited til they were out of sight. I look over to Cyan and Brans and give them the thumbs up. We all headed to Team RWBY's dorm. I waited by the door and knocked in case they were changing. A muffled, "come in," was heard and we all walked in.

Inside we see that they have already gathered their party decorations and presents. We smile at them and hear Team JNPR behind us. "So where are we holding this party again?" I hear Jaune ask.

"We are holding it in Sapphire's dorm. Like we all agreed," Yang said smiling.

"Oh. Heh sorry, forgot that bit," Jaune said sheepishly.

"Don't worry, there was quite a bit of information and you looked like you were gonna pass out anyways. Which is what happened," I say putting a hand on his shoulder. "Cyan, Brans, and I are gonna do some work in our dorm so we can hold the party."

"Wait. Y/N can you actually go keep an eye on Ruby and Sapphire? Just tell us where they are and what they're doing just so we know how long we have. Just in case Ruby catches on," Yang tells me. I nod and transform into a heron and fly off.

Sapphire POV

After leaving the bakery, Ruby and I started heading to the weapons shop on Boomstick Ln. I could tell she was getting excited. Mainly because she is literally jumping up and down like a little kid high on sugar. Which was adorable on all levels. We reached the place and walked inside. Ruby then ran around the store looking at everything. I knew I had to keep my act up so I was my usual self right now. I looked at everything and geeked out like her.

Yang POV

Cyan, Brans, my team and Team JNPR were all in the dorm and setting up the party. I especially was excited since my baby sister is turning 16 today! I had brought in about three foldable tables and unfolded them. One for the gifts and two were for everyone to sit at. We were almost finished up preparing before I receive a text from Y/N saying that they were coming back. Cyan and my team went to my dorm and Brans and Team JNPR went to their dorm.

A bit of time passed before I see a heron fly towards our window. I open it and Y/N flies in and transforms back. Rolling to minimize the damage on his body. "Nice," was all I said before he looks at his scroll intently. A ding pops up and we make our way back. We see Ruby look around smiling before we all said, "Surprise!" She looks back to see all of us there. She smiles brighter and runs over to hug all of us.

"Thanks guys! This has been the best birthday ever!" she says smiling at us.
