                                                                                ~Roses POV~

               I hear footsteps approach me and know it is Scorp. I hear him kneel beside me and feel his arms wrap around enveloping me. I relax into him turning to cry into his chest. I go from my body heaving with sobs to crying silently in a matter of minutes. I turn and look up at him tears still falling down my face. “My father’s going to kill me, he hates your family I’m as good as dead now that James knows.” I cry starting to sob again. “Hey, shh shh it’ll be okay Al knows that I’m a nice guy and will help convince your dad. He assures me trying to calm me down. It works a little but I still feel hot tears falling down my face. “That’s a good point my dad loves Al and trusts him and his judgment completely.” Scorp agrees that it’s great to have Al on our side. ‘But James still knows and he is very Very stubborn. He has his mind made up that your family is evil and that we all should hate you. Believe it or not my dad will be easier persuaded than James.” I say worried about what my cousin might do to Scorpius. “Well I knew that those Potters could always be very stubborn but I never knew that they were Weasley stubborn.” He says jokingly trying to lighten the mood between us. “I have a plan but my dad will definitely hex us after it.” I think aloud. “Well at least the worst will be over after he hexes/jinxes us.” Scorpius agrees. “Well there is the Yule ball and then the holidays. Speaking of the Yule ball, Rose will you go with me?!” he asks me and I jolt up so I am kneeling in front of him. “Of course I will, I am your girlfriend after all.”There’s no one else id let you go with!” I reply ecstatically almost forgetting about our problem. Almost. “I know I don’t know why I was still so nervous. It’s not like you’d go with anyone else, or like id let them go with you.” “You are not allowed to jinx or hex anyone to keep them from asking mw. I can tell them like a mature person that I am already going with someone.” “That’s right you are”.  “OMG!” “Rose what’s the matter?” “I just noticed something, something important.” “What?” “All of my cousins and Hugo will be at the ball. Well Hugo if he gets a date. And they are going to see us and know were dating. Well they might already but knowing James hell keeps it a secret and then at the worst possible time tell everyone. But that’s not the point there going to see us.” “Rosie calm down your forgetting one teensy weensy tiny important detail.” “What’s that?” “That it’s a masquerade ball no one will see our faces.” “Oh that’s good but we cannot take off our masks!!!” “Well Rose that is the point of a masquerade.” He says as if talking to a toddler. “Oh shut it.” “C’mon lets go back to the castle its probably been a while and we have probably missed class so we should probably just head up to the common room instead of trying to explain it to our next teachers.” I say shocking Scorpius. “ Wow little miss perfect is actually skipping a class.” “Oh stop Scorp I need more time to think and some peaceful time alone with you.”  “I know, I know I’m just saying I don’t think I’ve ever seen you break a rule before your like a Hufflepuff!!” “Ha-ha very funny the only other place the sorting hat thought I could have been was Gryffindor like most of my family.” I reply. “Well c’mon lets go up to the common room.” We walk the long stretch of stairs up to the tower that has the common room inside of it. As we approach the common room door I see a much disheveled James sitting in front of the door. When he sees us he bolts up and rushes towards me. “Omg Rose I’m so sorry Al explained everything to me including everything he knows about you and Scorpius and how they have been friends for years and  I feel so bad now for calling Scorpius Malfoy and telling him to get away from you and asking what you were doing I feel so bad now I notice that even though you two are so different you do love each other there is still one thing though how are you going to explain this to Ron the only reason I am okay with it is because I trust Al completely and he told me all this.” James rattled on finally coming to an end. “Well James I am glad you have accepted this and we are going to use the same thing that convinced you, well the same two things. One the element of surprise, and two the element I like to call Albus Severus Potter.” I inform him. “Rose you really are brilliant using Al like this he is the most trustworthy and convincing out of everyone… and then there’s us.” I laugh at his comment but I do agree Al is so trustworthy and persuading it’s sort of scary sometimes. “Well if he could convince you he’ll have no trouble convincing dad, you’re the most stubborn idiot ever James Sirius.” “HEY THAT’S NOT NICE!” He says with a pouty face. “Well thanks again James Rose thought it would be harder to convince you we’ll see you tomorrow. Says Scorp as we enter the dormitory and just chat until everyone comes back and then we do boring homework and head to bed. I just pray to god dad will take it as good as James.
