Christmas Night

~Roses POV~

We arrive at the Burrow with the party in full swing. The living room is cleared out for people to dance. Celestina Warbeck’s Christmas album is playing through the speakers. After all these years she's still considered one of the best women singers in the wizarding world. I see Dominique, Roxanne and Freddy out on the dance floor and Teddy and Victoire are controlling the stereo. James is sitting out on the grass observing a wizards chess game between Albus and Lilly. I grab my jacket from mum and head outside slipping my sweater on over my dress.

I sit beside James in the cool grass and evaluate the game so far. "Knight to E4" Albus says folding his hands under his chin. The knight advances on Lilly's queen still not taking her though. "Well Al that was stupid you've seem to forgotten something." Al surveys the board and curses. "You've left your king unguarded and I can take it with a pawn, a pawn! Al next time be more careful. Checkmate!" Lilly announces and the king drops its miniature sword showing she's won the game. I cheer and congratulate Lil and Albus shakes her hand in defeat. "Well it looks as if someone was beat by their little sister!" I hear a voice exclaim and jump up. "Scorpius!" I squeal hugging him so tightly he almost falls over stumbling backwards.

"Whoa Rosie it's not like you haven't seen me in years!" He says hugging me back. I drag him over to the chess board and set it up. I point to lily and tell her that she's playing Scorpius and I want to see how this turns out. She rolls her eyes and I see that she doesn't even try still winning effortlessly. "C'mon girls lets all share little Scorpy now because we know sharing is caring right!!" Al says like he's talking to little kids. I stand up and snack him. "IM OLDER THAN YOU!" I screech hysterically playing up the dramatics. Scorp raises his voice next. "Girls, girls let's stop fighting over me terse plenty of this to go around." he says 'breaking' us up. "Yea Al c'mon be a good girl and share because sharing is caring!" Lily pipes up. Soon enough all of us are on the ground laughing.

There is a flash of long wavy blonde hair and a giggle before I feel a body collapse between Lil and I. I jump up and scream again to be pulled down again by the blonde hair blue eyed rebel. “DOMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Lilly shrieks and I laugh. We haven’t seen her since October when she left on a foreign exchange trip to France to take a class at Beuxbatons about dragons following in Uncle Charlie’s footsteps. I grab her into a hug while Lil jumps up and call’s for Vic, Teddy, Aunt Fleur and Uncle Bill to get out here and that we have a surprise for them. Teddy comes running out first and falls to the ground laughing seeing Dom. Remembering the going away party where she died her hair turquoise when he said don’t forget me if your killed by a French proper princess dragon, the turquoise die only known showing at the tips of her longest layers. Louis is currently away in some country I think it was Ireland studying plants big surprise since he’s so close to Neville. I laugh as Vic comes out screaming at her sister for only writing once and for seriously not taking that darned dye out of her hair next. Aunt Fleur hugs her and Uncle Bill shakes his head at the scars from flames down her arms. “You really are my daughter, Vic I don’t know about.” He laughs at his daughters opposite personalities and Victoire hits her dad playfully. I double over again as Fleur holds her at arm’s length observing the scars on her arms and the one running down her thumb clearly from burns. “Dominique Nymphadora Weasley you have to be more careful if you are to work with dragons.” She scolds her middle child and youngest daughter. Well we all know that Dom would turn out different than Vic. When her sister was wearing pink strapless dresses and heels she would be in ripped jeans and cropped tee-shirts with ‘Graffiti’ on them. We would all laugh and tease them even though we were younger about being the two that would end the world, the angel and the devil.

We all head inside for the long awaited Christmas dinner or should I say Christmas feast. I sit across from Al and Lil and next to Scorp. I dig into the food once again impressing my friends and family with my appetite. “God, Ronald what did you teach our children they both look like pigs already on their second helping its embarrassing only Domi ever eats that much and she’s four  years older than Rose.” Mum scolds my father and he looks up from his chicken drumstick. “GiveitarestMione theirkidsletemeat.” He gurgles mouth full of food earning a smack on the head from his mother and my mum both.  I laugh and continue to eat once dessert comes I target one thing…… the pie! Everyone is laughing and having a good time as usual when we do presents. It takes forever and I mean like two hours to get through everybody and the n we do the dance off in partners. Lily and I come second against James and Fred who are the reigning champions three years and counting.

We all decide to stay at the burrow each and every one of us so of course space is tight. Lily, Roxanne, Molly II, Lucy and Dominique sleep in Aunt Ginny’s old room along with me. We stay up having pillow fights and sharing stories until grandma molly yells at us to go to bed. We all groan but then notice the time 5:45am. It’s going to be time to get up in three hours and then we have to go home pack and be at the train station by two. Domi curses and we all laugh, Grandma Molly scolds her and wishes us goodnight. “Okay whatever Roxanne says turning the light back on we continue to joke around until 6:30 when we hear voices I stand up to shut the door and the last thing I see before passing out is Domi's outstretched arms waiting to catch me.

 The translation to Ron’s talking is- Give it a rest Mione their kids let them eat. Love ya’ll!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and Roses dress is on here sorry if you were confused by the chapters if you read it before i posted this if you dont understand that it doesnt apply to you!!! Love ya’ll!!!!!!!!!!!!!
