"You can't be serious." The girl with long blonde locks laughed as the brunette female next to me nodded, unable to speak through her uncontrollable fit of laughter.
"He had it coming." She managed to breathe out between her laughter.
I simply cracked a small smile as I watched my two best friends laugh at their stories from a party the night before. I wasn't a big party girl, so I didn't show up. I felt a little left out in their conversation but I still wanted to appear interested.
Cha Eunyeong brushed a piece of her mousy hair behind her ear as her laughter and she glanced over to me with a faint smile playing at her thin lips.
"You should have been there. We're still on the hunt for a hot hunk to be a new accessory for your arm and candy for your eyes." Eunyeong joked playfully as she wiggled her eyebrows at me. I let out a laugh as I gently pushed her arm. I could tell she was just trying to get me to laugh, but me being lonely had become a norm for the three of us.
"I don't need a man to be happy, you know." I finally laughed as I reminded her once again. Chae Nari simply rolled her eyes and hopped off of the desk in front of me to sit in the seat and face me.
"You don't need one. But you do need one." Nari said with a serious tone but I could tell from her twitching lip that she was trying not to laugh at her own statement.
I never felt the need to have a man in my life. I was always quite fine on my own. I had never been in love, or in a relationship. Despite being 17, I couldn't see myself falling in love in the near future. Sure, I did get lonely at times. But I always had my two best friends and they provided me with all of the support I needed.
"You're short, you're thin, and you're cute. You really do have to realize that a lot of guys are willing to date you." Eunyeong piped as she took her seat next to me.
"But I'm not willing to date them." I added sweetly.
The school bell rang as soon as Nari spun around in her seat in front of me. I ignored Eunyeong's rolling eyes as I pulled my textbook out from my bag. The class fell silent as soon as the teacher began to speak.
"Everyone, welcome a new student to your class. His name is Jeon Jungkook."
As soon as a tall, lean, raven-haired male stood, I swear I heard at least eleven panties drop.
And I could've swore one of them was mine.

"I don't like him, okay?" I attempted to convince the smug-faced Eunyeong to no avail. She pushed on my arm as we sat criss-cross on the cold gym floor. The gym uniform wasn't helping much to combat the freezing atmosphere of the blasting AC. The painfully short shorts only revealed more of my pale leg to the cold wood beneath my frame.
Eunyeong rolled her eyes, not speaking so she wouldn't get caught and yelled at by the coach that was blurting out instructions for the gym class. He revealed that it would be yet another swimming day. I groaned both mentally and physically along with the other students. They always would tell us it was a swimming day after we had changed into our gym uniforms.
We all stood painfully slow and trudged to the locker rooms again to change. As soon as we entered. I felt relieved. It was always warmer in the locker rooms due to the tighter space and amount of girls. I made my way to the corner where my locker was and began to change into yet another assigned uniform, the swimsuit.
Thankfully, it was just a navy colored competition one piece swimsuit. We were also offered the option to wear rash guards or swim shorts if we felt self conscious, but I never had a problem with it. After I changed, I noticed the girls around me trying to mess with their swimsuit to make it more revealing. I was confused until I felt a cold hand be placed on me shoulder, causing me to jolt and look at the giggling Nari.
