My arms were full as I carried the large bags of chips to the living room. I listened to the laughing and yelling of Nari and Eunyeong behind me as they poured snacks and dips into bowls. I carefully set down and opened the bags of chips and pretzels and poured them into the larger bowls already set down on the coffee table. The sound of the food hitting the glass was enough to make my stomach rumble.
It has been days since I had eaten something that wasn't a mere rice cake or fruit. My stomach was yelling in desperation for a taste of food it was used to. Screaming for reassurance that I was still alive.
The girls behind me ran in, setting down the dips on the table next to the other bowls, while I rearranged to make room. Their footsteps disappeared back into the kitchen as soon as the doorbell rang. I tilted my head since it was still early.
"I'll get it!" I yelled out and ran to the door, wiping my clean hands on my lounge pants as I opened up the door, being face to face with a chest, I looked up to see Jimin grinning down at me with a box of cookies in his arm. I opened the door wider to let him in. I thought he was alone so I started to shut the door before 5 other boys followed. One by one, Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi, Jin, and Taehyung ran it, each carrying a snack of some sort. I laughed to myself as I watched them kick off their shoes and run to sit on the floor of my living room.
I was curious where Jungkook was, peeking out the door, glancing both ways to make sure I wouldn't close the door on him like I had the others.
"He never responded to my text." a voice spoke behind me, making me jump as it answered my thoughts. I spun around faster than I could blink, watching the calm boy shut the door behind my shocked figure. I nodded slightly and slipped under his arm to escape to the kitchen where the two girls were leaving to greet the boys.
I told my mother I would be having a girl's weekend and she agreed to stay with my aunt for the night. I brought up the idea because I didn't want her to know I had brought 7 boys into our house. Even if they were almost strangers to me, she would have freaked out at the idea. It was better if my mother just thought I was having a girl's night and we needed our space to vent.
I heard my television blast the intro to the CD player while piling bottles of soda into my arms. I stumbled as I carried them into the dark living room quietly. I almost tripped, falling to my knees to stop myself from crashing. I mumbled a sorry and set down the bottles on the table one by one as the boys grabbed them.
I stood back up to scurry back into the kitchen. I sighed to myself. It felt weird to have the boys in my house considering I barely knew them. But I figured it would be less awkward than if I had just invited Jungkook and Jimin. I heard soft footsteps pad on the tile of the kitchen floor, my head spinning to glance at Jimin wearily. I looked back at the cupboard and opened it up, climbing my way onto the counter to hear a soft chuckle behind me. I hissed and shot a glare at the sly Jimin who leaned back against the cold marble.
"You're short too, don't even laugh right now." I hissed quietly and knocked down boxes from the shelves and onto the counter. I couldn't hear them hitting the hard surface so I knew Jimin must be catching them from below me. He didn't make another laugh as I slowly lowered myself and hopped off. I held each box in my hand.
Brownies, chocolate cake, vanilla cake, marble cake... My mouth was practically watering. Weeks without a single sweet thing in my life. Weeks without any sort of sugar to satisfy my cravings. Jimin didn't laugh this time, even though he was staring at me and noticed my hungry expression. He simply grabbed the boxes and walked into the living room without a word. I stood in shock as he walked away, reaching my hand out for his shirt but missing.
"Ji-"
"Okay everybody!" he exclaimed loudly with a wide grin. "Which one?" he held the boxes out and watched everyone yell out. I laughed to myself and leaned back once more in amusement as he shot me back a smile that seemed a little weary but I shook it off as humor.

I listened to the shuffling footsteps inside the dark living room but continued to mix the frosting I was making for the cooling chocolate cupcakes. I struggled to mix the thick consistency, my arm shaking as I forced around the silicone spatula in the metal bowl that my free hand had a tight grip on, my knuckles becoming white as I huffed.
I knew the others wanted me to watch the movies with them, but I was invested in finishing the batch of cupcakes before I could even think about eating anything else. I figured there would be less guilt if it was all in one go.
My body practically jumped at the sudden feeling of arms over my own, large hands gripping the spatula from behind me. I stopped moving my hands, but the man was able to force it around a lot easier and quicker than I weakly could. I watched his hands shyly slide off of mine and grip below my smaller ones.
I still stood in shock for a few seconds before spinning around to the best of my ability, looking up at the cause of my shock. Jungkook smiled down at me, causing me to quickly duck under his arm and escape. One of the only perks of being this short. I heard him chuckle as I had my back to him, catching my breath before turning around and playing cool.
"I thought you weren't coming."
"I had plans, but they were changed last minute. Plus I heard there would be food." He spoke playfully while he continued to stir. I pretended to check the cupcakes even though they were only cooling. I hummed in understanding as I shot him a glance from the corner of my eye and through the raven strands of my hair.
Suddenly, I felt something cold on my cheek. I jumped, gasping as I turned towards the source to see Jungkook laughing and licking his finger. My cheeks heated up and I touched the cold substance. I was able to wipe off the chocolate frosting that I was attacked with. I fake gasped and wiped it back onto his face.
He was quick to retaliate and hit my nose with a tiny dollop. I wiped it off once more, tasting the fudge and giggling to myself.
"At least it tastes good."
-
"Wait!" Jungkook exclaimed as I lifted the plate of frosted cupcakes in my hands, the scent strong enough to make my mouth practically water. I glanced up at him in shock at the sudden exclamation, his eyes returning an apologetic gaze before he took the plate from me to set it down gently on the counter. "There's no sprinkles."
My expression softened from the previous fear that something was wrong. I nodded and pointed to a top cabinet that I wasn't able to reach. He took the hint, sliding open the wooden door to search over the colors for a bit before finally pulling down rainbow colored imperials. His finger cracked the seal for the red cap before the cap finally popped open. I listened to a few of the tiny balls hit the glass plate beneath it as each cupcake was coated in a wide variety of colors.
I looked up to notice how focused he looked; squinting at each cupcake, biting his tongue that peaked between his slightly parted red lips. I couldn't help but hold back a laugh as the lid closed and he lifted back up the plate.
I trailed behind the larger man as we headed quietly to the living room that was dim enough to let others see what they were eating. It was like a feeding hole as soon as the plate was set down. Everyone dashed to get their hands on a cupcake. I tried to squeeze in but it was no use.
I huffed and crossed my arms, watching from afar as the cupcakes began to vanish. Suddenly, I felt a soft tap on my shoulder, my eyes shifting upwards to the source, to see a cupcake held out to me. I gently took it with a bright smile. I unwrapped it carefully to not spill any sprinkles and took a small bite while looking up at the beaming Jungkook who seemed to shove his own into his mouth.
