Walking towards the room Abagail was sleeping, William fixed the cuffs of his shirt. Tonight he wanted to take her back to the water where she was healed. He wanted to spend the night with her, and hopefully tell her how much he cared for her.
In all his years he had never felt this way about someone. The way she would stand up to the other men or the way she easily made orders stirred something in him. He wanted to protect her but at the same time he wanted to watch her rule like he knew she could. After all she was born to rule.
Even though her father may be Toban, William knew she was nothing like him. She was kind hearted and caring to those around her. She wanted peace where Toban wanted darkness and for everyone to bow down to him. William would not let that happen. He would rather die than bow down to him.
Taking a deep breath he cleared his throat. Standing at the white canvas of the curtain that separated him from Abagail, he felt his nerves prickle along his skin. Sighing, he straightened his back. "Abagail?"
No answer. He called again, but was met with more deafening silence. Frowning, he stepped closer. Closing his eyes he felt his mind wonder to Zor.
'Zor, can you sense Abagail?' after a brief pause, the sound of a growl entered his mind.
She isn't here!
Gripping onto the curtain, William threw it to the side to find the room empty. All of Abagail's belongings were notwhere she had left them. The bow he had gifted to her was missing too. Growling, William ran towards the room Luca was staying only to find that too empty upon his arrival.
With clenched fists, William stormed towards the other riders rooms. "I want her found!"

Chained to the concrete wall, mother screamed as something was poured over her. The opened wounds on her arms, neck and back seemed to steam as the liquid ran down her body. Jumping to my feet from my crouched position, I tried to run to her.
No matter how hard I ran it seemed like I couldn't get to her. Screaming in frustration I looked around the darkly lit room. On the walls were varies weapons, no doubt used to torture my mother. A few torches light the sides of the room, casting an orange glow.
The floor below my bare feet was damp, and as I took a step forward, the liquid that was used to torture my mother made contact with my feet, but there was no pain. It seemed like water, but as I bent down for a further look I noticed it almost had a silver glow to it.
"Poison." Gritting my teeth I tried to walk closer to her. This time I was able to stop right in front of her.
Her head was hung low and as her ragged breathing continued, I dreaded the worst. Was this a dream? Or was I seeing this in real time. I was confused. I thought my mother had died when she was aiding the villagers in escaping.
"How did you survive?" I questioned, but another voice seemed to almost echo over me.
Lifting her head slightly, I watched a smirk grace her face. "Why would I tell you?"
Bending down, I watched her eyes follow my every move. "I'm happy you did survive, my love; but I'm also curious as to where our daughter Abagail is."
At the mention of my name, her eyes grew wide in alarm before shrinking into angry slits. As mother continued to glare at me, thats when I realised I wasn't in my own body, I was in Toban's.
Gazing down at my feet once again, they were now covered in leather boots. I was watching the whole thing from his eyes. I was now in his body, but would that mean that I had control.
Gritting my teeth, I tried to turn my head back to the weapons. No matter how hard I tried to turn my head nothing would work. Letting myself be directed closer to my mother, I couldn't help but feel the hatred that seemed to almost consume me.
"Do you really think I would tell you where she is?" Mother smirked.
She was taunting him. Although I was happy she was trying to defy him, I was scared for her safety. He didn't care about us, we were disposable and she needed to see that for her own safety.
Thrusting my hand towards her face, I gripped at her chin. Although I knew it wasn't my doing, I still couldn't help but feel I was responsible for the actions happening.
Leaning closer to her, I tilted my head. "Where... is she?"
Snapping my eyes open, I blinked a few times at the darkly light cave. The sound of the wind howling through the trees was the only thing that could be heard. Groaning, I turned to my side only to be met with a bare chest, one that I knew belonged to Luca. Frowning I tried to remember what had taken place before I blacked out.
I could remember the burning pain that the blade caused as it sliced through my skin, and the loud ear piercing roar that filled my ears. After that, all I could see was darkness until Toban entered my mind, yet he seemed to not notice my presence this time.
Had the mark worked? Could he no longer sense when I was around or was he meaning for me to see my own mother being tortured. Just at the memory of all the cuts and bruises on her body had my blood boiling. I would get revenge. I wouldn't let her treatment go unseen. I would make sure his head was left on the stick in front of his own castle, and I'm sure William would love that.
William... I had forgotten all about him. I was so caught up in my own determination of finding Aurora again, that I didn't stop to think how he would feel or what he would do when he found me with Luca.
Sitting up, I grasped onto the wool blanket that had been lying against my body. It was warm, but as my back left the warm blankets of Luca's nap sack, I felt the cold winter wind slice through my stiff skin. Turning to look back at Luca, I couldn't help but let my eyes wonder over his face. He was handsome, just like William but there seemed to be something about Luca that drew me in.
The way his eyes would twinkle when he looked at me had my blood running hot and small tingles run down my spine. It was almost like a healer was touching me, sending her magic through my veins but in this case it was just Luca's gaze.
Across his chin and cheeks was a light stubble, the blonde hairs sticking out only slightly to cast a small shadow over his face but yet he still looked handsome. His long eyelashes seemed to go on forever as they gently rested against his cheek bones.
Letting my eyes linger further down, I noticed a scar on his chest. The mark was large and looked angry as the dark reds and pink seemed to spread from the mark almost like a spider web. Without realising what I was doing my hand was placed over his mark, causing the small tingles.
Before I could do anything else, a large hand grasped my wrist tightly. Gasping in shock, I turned my gaze to see Luca was now glaring at me.
"What do you think you're doing?"
Liking my lips I tried to pull my hand away but he wouldn't let go. "How did you get that?"
A small grunt left his lips as he pushed my hand away. Sitting up he placed his shirt over his head before moving towards the fire. "That's none of your business."
That irritated me. My life wasn't any of his business yet he seemed to know everything about me.
"How did you get that?" I wasn't going to give up. I wanted to know how he got it, even if it took me asking over and over again for him to tell me.
Throwing a log onto the fire, I watched as his eyes seemed to harden as if he was reliving that moment. "You don't need to know. But I'll tell you this... some people don't deserve your respect."
