As we flew through the air, I took note of how quiet and still everything was. There was no more movement from travellers, no birds flying around and with the villages now destroyed, everything looked dead. It was as if Anna had destroyed everything around the kingdom. Her power was getting stronger and with it meant distraction.

My heart hurt at the sight of all the brunt down and destroyed villages. These places were once thriving with people, now they were just empty shells. I missed the old times. I missed the times where we didn't have to worry about the loss of a king or the powers that were to come from a dark book.

Everything now seemed harder than it used to be. It was as if the life we knew before would never come back to what it was. There seemed to be a chill in the air as we started to make our way back towards land. We were close to the kingdom now, as the lights could be seen shinning off into the distance. If we flew any further we would surely be spotted by Anna's rogues.

Landing with a loud thud, Aurora groaned as she lowered her body.

I was starting to wonder when we were to land.

Jumping down from the saddle, I held in my own groan. My feet tingled at the contact with the hard ground. "I'm sorry, Aurora."

Nudging me with the side of her head, I felt my riders mark tingle. Although it had marks over the top, I could still feel it there.

I would fly to the ends of the earth if it meant keeping you safe.

Forcing a smile I tried to hide how I was feeling. I was nervous. I wasn't sure what the end result would be, but I just prayed that whatever happened, William got his kingdom back. I didn't care if Toban was still around, we could deal with him at a later day. One thing I knew for sure, I was going to be the one to end Toban. He has hurt my family and killed the one person I held close.

Relax my rider. You will get your revenge on him soon.

Moving closer towards William, I couldn't help but notice a few of the elvish guards seemed nervous. "Is everything alright?"

Turning to me with a frown, the male nodded. "Yes. We have just not seen the outside before. This is all new to us."

Confused by his words, I went to ask what he meant but was stopped by William calling for attention. Making a mental note to ask him what he meant later, I watched as William moved to the front of the gathered men.

"From here we walk. The compound is not too far from here. It will take us a few hours but we should make it by daybreak."

A few of the riders groaned, whilst Talios mumbled something about his legs already hurting just by the thought. Smirking, I turned to him. "Maybe if you decided to train whilst we were at the cave, your legs wouldn't be the size of a tree trunk."

Laughing, Talios slapped my back knocking me forward slightly. "Maybe you should train your tongue not to insult an elder rider."

"And yet she is a better rider than you. Tell me how that works." Spoke William. Coming to a stop in front of me, I felt his fingers grasp my hand. He was warm, and just by the gentle touch, I felt my nervousness fading away into nothing.

"Are we ready to move?" Williams's voice seemed to bounce back from the trees, giving him that royalty aura about him once again. After everyone had gathered their weapons and the dragons were set and ready to go, we started our long trek to the compound.

William had explained that all the men gathered were there and had been training for a few moons now. Even as he spoke my mind wandered back to Luca and if he was there. William hadn't mentioned him at all, which only made me nervous. What if he had sent Luca away or even worse, killed him? If he had been killed whilst trying to find help, I wouldn't forgive myself.
