I Need Your Love. Ellie X Female Reader

The Meeting.

       '10 Years after the infection and I'm still lucky to be alive. I'm (Y/N) and I'm  15, my parents died when the infection started. I only remember faint memories I had with them.. Taking walks in the park.....Eating a giant meal with family members.. And just like that they were taken away from me. Days after the start of the outbreak I was taken in by a group who calls themselves the fireflys but to be specific her name was Marlene. She has her moments to be a complete asshole but I have to admit, if it wasn't for her, I would be dead on the streets of Boston.. But that's not important anymore because Marlene wants meet this girl named Ellie. Time to make a first impression.. I could use a friend I Guess. Goodbye for now

I put my journal away thinking about this 'girl' I was supposed to meet in like half an hour. "Well time to get ready. I don't want Marlenes ass to yell at me." I mumbled underneath my breath, stretching to get ready for the day. I grab my (F/C) shirt and (f/c) shorts and slip them on while grabbing for my gun and stuffing it in my back pocket. "Lets go.."

I sat at the lunchroom tables eating breakfast along with some firefly  members. After i finished I went into one of the living rooms of the headquarters to wait on Marlene.
"Where the hell is she?!" I sat on the couch in the room tapping my foot "Marlene was supposed to meet me here 30 minutes ago." Just as I said that Marlene walked inside the room with a girl beside her. "Would you like to tell me what took you so damn long!?" I stood up kind of angry and clenched my fist. "Relax (Y/n) I was busy with something important. And besides you don't have anything better to do, sitting there and waiting on me is the easiest thing I told you to do so calm down." I guess what she said helped because I ended up sitting back down. "Psh.. whatever.. anyway is this the girl you wanted me to meet?" I was slightly confused because i thought it was going to be some lady in her 20s bossing me around. But it turns out she looks about my age with redish/Brown hair with green eyes. "Yes. This is Ellie, she's been with us for a long time and I thought it would be nice if you had someone to talk to. I've seen that you've been stressed out with all the missions I've been sending you on and with you both being girls you can talk about girl stuff or whatever." I looked at Ellie and she seemed pretty cool I guess. "Alright then I'll let you two talk for a bit and get to know each other but first.. (Y/n)  I need speak with you outside real quick." I looked at Marlene then to Ellie. She smiled at me and said a quick 'hey' before Marlene dragged me out the door. "So what's your real plan here Marlene? I know something's up." She turned around to look at me and had the most chilling stare ever "(Y/n) we might of found a cure." I almost ended up screaming but somehow ended up acting calm and collected. "What do you mean?" She pointed at the door where Ellie was inside waiting for me. "Ellie.. She got bit almost 3 weeks ago. Me and you know damn well that when someone gets bit they turn in less than 2 days. But somehow she's immune.." I was in complete shock my hands were shaking with I guess some kind of excitement. "Exactly what does this have to do with me?" She put her hand on my shoulder. "Me and you are going across the country where some more of my firefly members are and some scientists to find a vaccine. Ellie already agreed and I need you to get to know her better because we need trust in order to travel properly. We leave first thing in the morning so have fun getting to know her better." Marlene walked off before turning her head back to signal me to go inside the room, which I did.
Ellie looked up and smiled before standing up to shake my hand. "Hey my name's Ellie nice to meet you...." I laughed and finished for her "(y/n). My name's (y/n)" we shook hands and started talking for what seemed like hours.
"Do you like comics?" Ellie looked at me while pulling something out of her bag. "Yeah I guess so. I never really had the time to read any because of the infected trying to bust in and shit." Ellie started laughing her ass off and I joined "yeah those fuckers really like to ruin a good time huh?" I nodded and layed back on the couch smiling. "Hey how old are you anyway? if you don't mind me asking." She looked over her shoulder while still reading a comic that she pulled out.
"I'm 14 turning 15 soon. You?" She seemed pretty interested on knowing more about me but I decided to tease her a little bit. "I'm not saying.." She frowned and put down the comic to turn to me. "And why the hell not?" I could see that she had a short temper just like me. So I decided to take advantage of it. "Because I said so." She stood up from her chair and walked over to me putting both of her arms on either side of my head which made me blush a bit "why the hell are you so stubborn?. I literally sat here for fucking hours to tell you about my life and you won't even tell me your age. Or do I have to force it out of you." I raised and eyebrow curious to see what she would do. 'Two can play at that game' I thought and smirked as I leaned close to her ear and whispered "What are you gonna do about it" she seemed taken back but shrugged it off as she smirked back
"This.." She flung me on my back on the couch and started to tickle me.
"HAHAHAHA!!!! E-Ellie s-stop HAHA I Ha can't breath!!" She kept going and starting laughing too " Not until you tell me more about yourself and your age cowgirl!" Tears were starting to fill my eyes because I was laughing so much. "O HAHA O-OKAY HA I'M 15 HAHAHA P-PLEASE STOP NOW!!" She smiled in victory as she got off me to sit next to me and urged me to talk or she would tickle me again. "Damn Ellie.. y-you have me struggling to breath here....give...me...a....minute." I took a couple of deep breaths before my heart rate went back to normal. "Okay I'm good now. You really want to hear about my life story?" Ellie nodded and smiled as she looked at me deeply like she was waiting to hear a fairytale. To be honest it was kind of cute..... I snapped back to reality and started to tell her about my life. "Okay well I was born 5 years before the whole world went to complete shit for starters. I don't really remember what the world was like before all of this, I only get certain memories from time to time.. But the day it all started i remember it like it was yesterday. My parents were screaming... the neighbors turned and were trying to bust down our door.. My mom and dad threw me over their shoulders and ran upstairs and set me down telling me to do one thing.. lock the door..don't answer it for anyone except us okay? After a couple of minutes I heard gun shots and screams that belonged to them.. I started crying because i knew deep down that they were gone... and a couple of days later here comes Marlene and her crew of fireflys..and I'm just laying there dying from lack of food and water.....She picks me up runs down stairs where her medical team was.. before I completely passed out I saw a glimpse of my mom's and dad's body just sitting there....torn apart....and when I woke up I was here ever since and have gotten closer with Marlene..." I was in tears at this point Ellie saw the pain In my eyes and got closer and hugged me. It was soothing having someone to hold me while I broke down.. "I'm so sorry (y/n) I shouldn't have asked." She was on the edge of balling her eyes out as well. And I know why... it's because she had a similar experience just like me.
After an hour after I told Ellie my life story for some reason we were still embracing each other which was weird because by that point me and her both calmed down and stopped crying. But another side of me wanted her to never let go. "Hey (y/n)?" Ellie said tiredly "hmm.?" I barley responded because I was on the edge of passing out on her shoulder. "I think we're going to be really close friends." I smiled and nodded before slowly drifting off to sleep with one thought in my brain. 'Friends? That sounds good to me.'
