Me and Ellie walked in the room where Bill and Joel was talking about god knows what. "So let's go i have a place near here so we can gear up the school is crawling with infected." Bill walked out the door along with Joel while me and Ellie followed behind walking side by side. "Hey let's lighten the mood shall we." I looked over at Ellie who pulled out a book. "What's that?" I tried to look over but Ellie held it away so I couldn't see. She cleared her throat like she was giving some kind of speech. "What did the cannibal get when he showed up to the party late?... A COLD SHOULDER!." A laugh started seeping it's way through my lips leaving me breathless and struggling to breath. "W- haha what the hell is that." She brought the book closer so I can see what she was reading. "A pun book." Ellie smiled and kept telling some good and horrible jokes until Bill started screaming at the top of his lungs. Infected got through his 'unstopable' gate. Ellie quickly put her pun book away and grabbed a couple of bricks to throw at some if the infected while Bill and Joel started shooting. "Ellie!! Here!" Ellie turned around and I threw her my gun as I pulled out my big knife and started charging at the runners coming at us. "(Y/n) ! What are you doing?!" I stabbed a runner in the head staying focused. "You wanted a gun right? So use it!" Ellie nodded and nervously shot and infected I could tell that she never shot a gun before. "What the hell ! Why did you give her a gun?" Joel looked over to me then to Ellie as we killed the last few infected. "You know Joel how do you expect us to defend ourselves if you don't give us guns? Plus she did fine she was a little messy with her shots but that's teachable." I looked over at Ellie who was cheesing ear to ear looking at me and mouthed a 'thank You' to me. "Marlene told me you are capable with a gun not stupid with it. That's why I didn't take it from you. but Ellie? I'm not gonna risk getting my head blown off by a kid.. Ellie give her the gun back." Ellie looked pissed but obeyed Joel and threw me my gun back. "If your done with kid lectures we need to get to the chruch." Bill walked off to a gate and unlocked it walking up the stairs where the church is. "Come on let's go Ellie. And in my opinion I think you were a badass with the gun but.. You could use some practice." Ellie playfully punched me "ha Oh wow thanks for the compliment fucker." We both laughed and followed Joel and Bill up the stairs. "Where to now?" Bill pointed to the cellar door and opened it "we're already here." Bill walked inside then me and Ellie and finally Joel. "Hey close the door! And you two don't touch anything!" Me and Ellie just shrugged and continued walking around. "Alright let's gear up." Bill walked to where the weapons were and Ellie tried following. "Uhh. No." Joel put his arm in front of her preventing her from going further. "Joel...i can handle myself." Joel shook his head in disagreement and followed Bill. "Okay then I'll guess I'll just wait around for you two to get me killed!" I walk over to see some stuff laying on a desk. "Wow shit Ellie look at this!." I silently yelled and Ellie came walking over. "What is tha--? Oh My god." Ellie covered her mouth to stay silent and laughed. She picked up a couple of gay magazines and looked at it. "Eww.. you know what... I'm good I'm gonna look over here...that image is stuck in my brain" I laughed and walked away from ellie while looking at some cool comics this guy had. I looked over at bill and Joel who were talking not paying any attention so I snuck some of the comics in my bag so I could read it later. "Hey!! What did i tell you when we walked down the steps!" I jumped and turned around but he wasn't looking at me but to Ellie "I was just fixing your stupid pile!" She threw up her hands. "DON'T TOUCH!" Ellie flipped him off and walked over to me mumbling and I just laughed. "Ooo Ellie got in trouble." I whispered and teased her making sure I was quiet so Bill and Joel didn't hear. "Fuck you." She smiled standing next to me. "I bet you want to." Ellie looked over to me and blushed before looking away "shut up you dork." I was gonna tease her some more but Joel said it was time to go. We followed Bill and started heading to the school where the military truck was. We ran into some infected but slowly and quietly killed them so we wouldn't draw attention. (Okay sorry for interrupting but I don't feel like writing about the way there so yeah I hope you understand my decision okay back to the story) we finally got to the school after a good 15 minutes of walking there. I heard something running behind me. I was confused because Ellie, Joel And Bill were in front of me.. then the realization finally hit me.. I looked behind and seen a whole fucking group of infected running towards us. " Oh shit!! hey!! we need to get in like right fucking now!!" I close the gate to try and prevent infected getting through and I ran over where Bill was trying to open a window. "They're getting through the gate hurry the fuck up bill!!" Bill finally got the window open and jumped in following Ellie then Joel. As soon as I tried to jump in a clicker jumped on top of me preventing me from going anywhere. "(Y/n)!!" Ellie and Joel screamed my name as I got jumped. Joel shot the clicker before it had the chance to bite me. And I crawled inside before quickly getting up and slamming the window shut. "(Y/n)! Are you okay?!" Ellie ran up to me and started putting her hands on my shoulder checking to see if I was bleeding or anything. " I'm fine just a little shocked is all.. Thanks Joel." Joel nodded as a your welcome and Ellie put her hand on my back as she walked with me to where Bill was "it fucking empty!!" Bill screamed as he opened the hood of the truck to see it empty. "Well what do we do now bill?! We can't stay here!" Infected were banging on the doors almost busting in until me and Ellie found a locker to block it to hold them up for a while. "We need to run! Hurry follow me we can't stay here!" Bill started running to the doors on the other side of the room. Just then Joel ran over to us "you two better run like hell!!come on hurry!" Me and Ellie stopped holding the locker and ran behind Joel as we followed Bill through the school halls. We ran into the gym and heard a loud band. A big fucking infected busted through the door. "What the hell is that thing?!" Ellie looked at the big infected and backed up a little. "It's a god damn bloater!" Bill shouted as he went into cover. "A what?!" Me Joel and Bill kept shooting the hell at the bloater but it refused to fall. More runners ran into the room as we were trying to kill the big guy. We finally managed to take down the runners and after a few more shots to the bloater it finally fell. " Okay let's get the hell outta here please." I put my hands on my knees breathing heavy a bit while putting my gun back in my holder. "Here Joel boost me up." Joel stood by the bleachers and boosted Bill up then Ellie then me. "Joel more infected!" Joel turned around and killed the runners that tried to get him when his back was turned. Bill grabbed Joels hand and pulled him up. We all jumped out the window and ran our asses off the escape the infected chasing after us. So we ran into the nearest house. "Oh.. fuck.. that was too close." I was again out of breath. "We're gonna look on this side of the house come on (y/n)." I followed Ellie and looked around at the house we were in we both could hear Bill and Joel yelling at each other but we left it alone . They needed their privacy. "(Y/n)! Look at this!" She jumped inside of the car in the garage and started turning the key. To my surprise it sounded like it still worked but it didn't start. Joel and Bill ran inside the room we were in "Joel look ! It still has some juice in it." Bill ran over to the hood and opened it. "That's my battery!! Really Frank? You're just gonna take my shit and run off is that it?" I walked over to Ellie who was in the driver seat. "Who the fuck is frank?" I whispered in her ear and she just shrugged and laughed. "Whatcha thinking joel?" I looked over to Joel who looked at me and Ellie "I'm thinking you and Ellie drive and we push." I nodded and hopped in the passenger seat. "I'm gonna let you do the honors." I bowed down like a servant and Ellie laughed and also bowed "why thank you kind peasant." Joel and Bill got in the back after they opened the garage door. " alright you got to pop the clutch-" Ellie interrupted Bill with a smart ass attitude "I know how to pop a clutch!" We heard Bill mumble but we really didn't hear what he said. Joel and Bill started pushing the car and the first attempt in starting the car failed. "Hey maybe if we get to the hill there!" I pointed and the hill and Joel agreed. We had to hold off some infected but we reached the hill and as me and Ellie rolled down we got the truck to start. More infected must of heard the car start so Bill and Joel had to jump in the back and we took off. "Alright this will do !!! Stop!!!" Bill slammed his hands on the side of the truck and Ellie stopped the car. Joel and Bill jumped out and started talking near the buildings. "Nice driving. I expected you to crash at least once." I laughed and nudged Ellie a bit moving her. "Oh come on I'm not that bad." I shrugged playfully and she laughed and nudged me a bit too.. We ended up staring at each other in our eyes admiring looks until Joel interrupted and told us to scootch. And we did we both hopped in the back seat only making small talk a little bit. We never looked at each other like that... but it was different and I liked it.... I think I like ellie........
