As if on cue me and Ellie both grabbed our guns and pointed at where we heard the sound, while Joel just looked around holding his rifle. "Tell your little girls to put down their weapons!" I looked up and seen a lady and a whole group of people pointing their snipers at me, Ellie and Joel. "You first lady!!" I yelled making sure I was loud and clear with my words. Better to sound like a threat then not one at all. Ellie nodded in agreement and kept her weapon up, ready to fire at a moment's notice until Joel spoke up. "Listen to what she says you two. We're outnumbered." Ellie disagrees for a moment but complies anyway and so did I. "What brings you folks here?" The lady spoke up once more. "We're just passing through w--" Joel stopped as he got cut off. "It's all right Maria (I think that's her name??) Put y'alls weapons away." I look over to see a man, maybe in his late 30's suddenly appear over the wall. "You know them??"  the lady known as Maria looked back and forth at the man then to us looking puzzled and confused. "I know him.... he's my god damn brother..." Joel immediately looks over to the man and whispers underneath his breath. "Tommy...?" He nods in agreement then smiles at his older brother. "Open the gates y'all!! Let's make our guests welcome!" Tommy ordered the men to open the gates and they complied. "Holy shit Y/n we made it." Ellie firmly grasps my hand and smiles as we walk through and go inside.
--Time skipp-- (after the bandits showed up)
Me and Ellie just stand frozen in place after what we just heard... Joel is giving us away... and to his brother who we don't even know that well... he's leaving us to go back home.. "We need to talk joel.." Ellie looked at Joel who just sat down in silence. "JOEL WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT." Ellie repeated.. I just stood there listening in.. "There's nothing to talk about Ellie!! We'll talk later.." Joel shouted then looked back down. I look over to Ellie who just shakes her head in disappointment. "later...huh.." she then turned away and started running away. She was clearly upset at Joel's words and I just stood still glaring at him. "Why the hell would you do that to us.. just dump us off to random ass people to find the fireflies when we trusted YOU the most... I'm disappointed in you joel.. I never thought yo--" a guy cut me off as he ran over to Joel out of breath and barley managed to say a few words but I could tell what he was trying to say... "s...irr....e...ellie....r....an off .....w..ith...o...one of our h....orses..." that's all it took before me and Joel both jumped up with shock and worry in our eyes. That's all it took for us to hop up and go running with Tommy go get horses and find a run away ellie.. I know she's upset but this is too far.. she could get killed and leave me all alone in this world. Ellie.... why??
