Meeting Bill

I woke up in the middle of the night shaking.. 'another nightmare.' I wiped my eyes to help me wake up a little bit more. I was gonna get up and look out the window but I felt something wrap around me. "Don't go.." I down to see Ellie wrapping her arms on my waist. "Ellie? Are you awake?" I poked her face to see if I could get a reaction but instead I got nothing. I start giggling at Ellie sleep talking and gave up trying to get out of bed. I grabbed my bag beside the bed and grabbed my journal out and started writing about what happened over the past few days.
--a few hours later---
Everyone just woke up besides me that is.. I couldn't sleep at all last night... I've always had the same dreams but this one was a little more terrifying than usual. Being ripped apart.. just like my parents... but Ellie was there crying at my corpse.. it honestly made me tear up because seeing her cry made me weak.. and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that never happens. "(Y/n)? (Y/n)?! Snap out of it girl. We need to get going." Ellie snapped me back into reality and threw me my bag. "Yeah.. right.." I throw my bag over my shoulders and walked out not bothering to look at Ellie. 'Maybe if we  are not such close friends she won't be upset if i ever get bit..she'll be strong..not weak..' the idea of this in my head seemed good to me... I don't feel like hurting someone if that happens.. me Joel and Ellie were walking for awhile until we had to go off-road to get to this friend of joels. I was really tired with the lack of sleep and all so walking for a long time made me feel a little dizzy but I kept pushing on. We heard an explosion which made me fall to the ground "Whoa... what the hell was that!. It scared the shit outta me!" I looked around and seen a bunch of wires connected from building to building and I went to touch one. "Hey! Hey! Hey! Don't touch that unless you want to be blown into tiny bits.. bill really wouldn't Care who would be on the other side of that wire so be on the lookout..." I nodded and walked away from the wire searching for anything that might be useful on the way. "Hey (y/n).. are you okay?" I felt Ellie touching my arm and i shrugged off her arm and just walked away. "Hey Joel look at this." I hold up a bow with a couple of arrows. "Hand it here." I toss Joel the bow and we kept waking around eventually walking into a house. "Shit!!" Joel's foot got caught in a trap.. he flew upside down with a refrigerator weighing him up. "Oh damn are you okay?" Ellie ran over and helped him stop swinging. "Yeah I'm fine..... look there... cut the rope to get me down..." Ellie ran over the the rope and pulled out her knife to start cutting away. "Uhh guys.... infected!" I pull my gun out and start shooting any infected who tried to come near Joel and ellie. "Fuck there is too many!" A clicker ran up to me and attacked but I wasn't fast enough... I struggled keeping the clicker off of me until suddenly a machete sliced through it's head. "Follow me!" A tall fat guy ran off helping Joel off the ground. I followed behind them..
-time skip----
We ran inside a building where Joel and the guy followed locking the door behind them. "woah that was close." I look beside me to see Ellie breathing hard re-gaining Her breath. "Thanks for the heroics and all....Ellie" She stuck out her hand waiting for a hand shake but got the complete opposite. The guy whipped out hand cuffs and cuffed me and Ellie together on a pipe. "Hey what the fuck!" Me and Ellie both screamed at the guy who walked over to Joel. "Get on your knees!!"
"Bill calm down.." Joel got thrown to his knees as the guy started looking at him searching for something. "You got any bites? Anything sprouting?" Joel got kind of angry at his statement " No god damnit I'm clean!!" Bill backed away and scoffed "if I see so much as a twitch--" with out noticed Ellie finally broke the pipe off the wall and we both hit him with the pipe in both of our hands. "Are you done?" Joel pointed the pipe at bill that he took from us. "Am I done? You come Into my house set off all my traps.. who the fuck are these punks and what are they doing here?!" This seemed to anger Ellie so she grabbed my hand and went off "We are none of your god damn business and we're here because you owe Joel some favors and you can start by taking these off!!" Ellie held up are intertwined hands that were handcuffed together and it made me blush a bit but I forgot that that I couldn't make her like me as a friend at all because of what could happen..... "ha I owe Joel some favors? What ever you think I owe ya it ain't worth that much." Joel placed his hand on bills shoulder "actually they are. I need a car." Bill laughed at Joel's statement and turned around. "Well it is a joke. Joel needs a car.sure Joel go ahead take my food too while your at it." Bill started sharpening his machete. "By the looks of it you could loose some of that food." I busted out in laughter at Ellies comeback. "Listen here you little punk--" Ellie interrupted him "no fuck you you hand cuffed us to--" Joel pushed me and Ellie away and quietly told us to shut up. But I was still giggling at the joke Ellie had made. "You have a car in this town." Bill interrupted Joel
"There are parts in this town plus if I had a car which I sure as hell don't what makes you think I'll just give it to you ?"
"Which means you could fix one up." Bill sighed in defeat and started telling Joel what he would need but I didn't pay attention.ellie broke the silence ."Soo this is awkward.." she lifted up our hands that were still handcuffed together . "Oh yeah shit.. hey fat ass!!! Give us the keys!!" Ellie tried to keep in her laugh and tried to fake cough it away but failed . Bill turned to me and looked pissed but Joel held him back and held out his hands telling him to give him the keys. Joel threw us the keys and we finally released our hands. I winced in pain as I held my wrist. He tightened the shit out of the cuffs causing it to hurt a bit. "You okay?" Ellie turned to me with a worried expression.. "I'm fine.." I turned to walk away but Ellie held me back "quit lying and tell me the truth..." I sat down on the floor and Ellie sat next to me. "I-im trying to avoid you..." Ellie looked sad and looked down. "Why?" I turned to face her.. I couldn't keep lying to myself or her anymore. "I know you don't have to worry about getting infected but with me.... I won't be able to hold out for long even with both you and joel.... it's gonna happen sooner or later and with you being my friend and all I don't want you getting upset when that time comes..." Ellie quickly looked up and stared me in my (e/c) eyes. "It won't happen and that's a fact.. we've been on the road together for a good couple of weeks and we seem to be doing alright so far. I'm here and I'll protect you even if it means I get more bites along the way.. I'll take those bites for you...." My eyes started watering up and I embraced Ellie tightly and whispered a thank you in her ear. After a couple of minutes of hugging we got up and started heading to the next room where Bill and Joel was talking.
