"OKAY," Taryn started, clicking her phone off, dropping it in front of her on the couch. She sat texting Freddie, resting up against the arm of the couch well her brother did the same thing on the opposite side.
"Who are you texting?" She questioned, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
Thomas instantly froze, his head snapping up to meet Taryn's curious gaze. The smile that was glued to his lips, vanished. "Huh?" He scratched the back of his neck, glancing out the huge glass window that overlooked the city.
"I said, who the bloody hell is making you smile like that?" Thomas' face immediately reddened, his gaze falling back to his phone.
"Un, well its this girl I met at school, I really like her."
A wide smile made its way to Taryn's face as she leaped across the couch engulfing her younger brother into a hug. "Oh my God! Tommy has feelings — ! And he's telling me about them!"
Thomas' nose scrunched up as he attempted to push his sister off of him, though Taryn had a death grip on him. "Get. Off." He huffed angrily, that made Taryn only tighten her grip on him. "I. Hate. You."
The brunette snorted, "you. Came. To. Visit. Me." She paused before adding, "without telling me."
Just as Thomas was about to reply, a buzzing sound filled the air instantly making Taryn retreat back to her side of the couch.
Thomas fixed his hair, shaking his head with a slight smile on his face. He resumed to texting Mia, the girl he liked.
Taryn picked up her ringing phone, grinning as she gazed at the name on the screen, before answering. "Hello?" Joy was evident in her voice.
"I love you too," Freddie declared.
Taryn was taken back from his bluntness, expecting something more along the lines of... hello. "I'm sorry, what?"
Freddie chuckled which made Taryn grin hugely, almost making herself laugh as well. "You told me you loved me. I don't know if that was sarcastic, but honestly, I don't really care, this isn't. I didn't reply because I didn't want to tell you I loved you over text. So, here I am. And I love you."
