I woke the next morning with a strong head and bad backache. I looked down and realized I had slept on my sister's laptop. I groaned and shook the bunk-bed where me and my sister, older than me by 2 years slept. "What?" I heard a sleepy voice groan as the bed shook.

"How many times have I told you not to leave this shit on my bed?" I asked, pulling out the laptop from under my butt and handing to her.

"Stop bitchin'," she said calmly. "It's not my problem you're butt's so big you couldn't even feel it," she said, sighing and getting up. She pushed her hair away from her face and smiled wickedly.

"Whatever, man. Who's turn is it to cook breakfast?" I asked, getting up and pulling my black hair into a bun. I looked at the small mahogany dresser mirror we shared and wiped the sleep from my eyes.

"Yours," she said, sitting next to me on the soft bench and brushing her own hair out. I stared at our strange resemblance. Same big dark brown eyes, full lips, head shape, and small ears. In other ways, we were completely different. Such as, her straight nose, and my small round one, her thinner lips, my tight cupid's bow on top of my puffy ones, my hair jet black, hers earthy black, and her skin medium chocolate, mine light caramel.

"Guess who's not getting eggs," I said, nudging her playfully.

"Whatever," she said, pulling out a small black V-neck and grey skinny jeans from her cabinet.

"Actually, waffles," I added, picking out a small red one and black skinny jeans myself.

"Who cares?" she said defensively. "They're nothing like-"

"Pancakes?" I asked, cutting her off. "We have some batter left, I almost forgot. Thanks bizatch!"

"What the-! I want some too, Kira," she said, coming after me.

"Too bad, I'm only making it for people I like," I said, coming around our huge table and greeting everyone in the family. "Like, Mom, Dad, Michael, Kiki, Janay, Devon, Devin, Jayden, and little Audra," I said, picking up our baby sister lovingly. I sat her back down and went over to the range.

"Bitch," Acacia mumbled under her breath.

I turned to her and said, "I know you are."

"Anyways," she said emphatically. "Mom, I'm going somewhere with Tyson today."

"Him again? I thought it was Oscar last week," my mom said, giving her a look and feeding Audra.

"Old skanks die hard," I said, pouring the batter into the pan.

"Who you callin' old?! Or a skank....I heard you had four guys in ONE day," she said, grabbing the cereal box on the refrigerator. "Hmmph."

I widened my eyes at the pan to see that the pancake had nearly burned. I quickly took it out and poured more batter in. "Hey," I said, turning to her. "I hear Mr. G's back in town....Actually....I talked to him," I said, poking at the seven year crush she had had on him. "He said he was happy to see me."

Lying out of my ass was one of my many talents.

"What? Where? When? Why?" she asked, nearly dropping her Coco Puffs.

"Find. Out. By. Yourself," I mocked.

"Hey, actually, I think I might want to hand around your lame ass crew today....Just once." She smiled at the bowl of cereal she was eating. "I hear RJ's back, too."
