Phillip POV.
It was time my parents met Six. My baby daughter was a week old- and beautiful as ever. She had a perfect mix of Anne and I's skin tones, resulting in a gorgeous tan colour. Her eyes where mine, and they shined bright blue wherever she went.
I stand in our home's lobby, waiting for my wife to get ready. Quite obviously, it wasn't my idea to let my parents know about Six- it was Anne's. She says that they deserve to know- as if! After all they have said to us, especially my father, but Anne persisted and I simply cannot fight back to her.
"I'm ready." Anne says, stepping off the last step of the stairs, with her shoes in her hand.
"You look stunning, as always." I say, brushing my wife's hair behind her ear. I kiss her on the lips once, but it soon deepens, and I place my hands on her waist. I'm sure we would have kept kissing until we took things into the bedroom if it wasn't for Six that interrupted us by screaming and crying.
"Ssh, ssh, come on baby." Anne says, pulling away from me and picking Six up.
"You're going to go meet your lovely grandparents now. How about that?" Anne says, stroking Six's cheek.
"I don't really want to go." I say, putting on a baby voice, like it's Six that's saying it. Anne laughing mand slaps me lightly on the arm.
"Oh, shut up, Phil. This is a good thing for Six. She should meet her grandparents. And her grandparents should meet her." She says, softening her expression. I cannot argue with that, because my parents should know I just had a daughter. I hadn't talked to either of them since the wedding, about a year ago now. They didn't even know we had lost Elissa.
We walk quietly to my parents house. I think Anne started to realise how much of a problem this could cause us. My parents would not take things lightly.
"So, how about I go in first, and tell them about Elissa. Then, I will come fetch you, and you can come in with Six?" I ask. I don't think my Mother could stand knowing everything at once. Anne nods, as we reach my parent's house. She hides behind a bush, and I ring the doorbell.
My mother opens it, stunned to see it was me behind the door.
"Phillip!" She cries and envelops me in a hug. Although I know I am tense at first, I relax after a bit. It was my mother, really, the person which had raised me.
"Mother. I need to tell you and Father a few things." I say, and with a worried expression, my mum lets me in.
Standing in the lobby of my childhood home brings back many memories. I brush them aside- these were memories I made before I realised more about the world than money and riches.
My mum shows me into the living room, where my father is waiting for me, and Mother goes to sit down next to me. I take a seat in front of them and nod to my father.
"Father." I say. He just nods at me, and waves at me to begin.
"I'd like to start with something that saddens me deeply. 10 months ago, Anne got pregnant." I say. My mother gasps and puts her hands over her mouth.
"Pregnant! It's not a sad matter, Phillip. Though...she is black. Maybe some sense has been put into him, Jim!" My mother turns to my father, but sensing that I hadn't finished, my father stops my mother and waves me on, like before. But what my mother said angered me- so what if Anne's black! Blood boiling, I answer my parents.
"Oh, mother and father, its not like you think it is. I was extremely content that Anne was pregnant, I mean a baby of my own! It was a baby girl, and her name was Elissa Rose Carlyle." I pause, as my mother whispers gorgeous under her breath.
"On the 6th June, my parents, Elissa passed away- yes, Anne had a miscarriage. It saddened me deeply, I hope you have some life in your heart to understand this." My mother gasps again, as my awful father shows no emotion.
"Phillip...I'm so sorry. Elissa Rose was such a beautiful name. I'm sorry." My mother says, placing a hand on my shoulder. I think everything is alright, until my father stands up.
"Lydia, don't be sorry. Phillip deserved this. He needed to see this is what happens in that side of the world- people die." He spits at me. Instead of getting angry, I say,
"You know, Father, in death there is always re-birth." For a second he his confused, but I call in my wife and she enters with my beautiful baby daughter in her arms.
"Mother, Father. I'd like you to meet my other daughter, Six Olivia Carlyle."Cliffhanger lol 😂😂 this is acc such a long chapter 🎉🎉 anyway hope you enjoy this & can we take a moment:: I. Hate. The. Snapchat. Update. 😩
