Anne POV.
Jim must be joking! All of this, only to change MY daughters name to a white name? I was angry, but my baby's name didn't matter really; all that mattered is that she was healthy and happy, and had a good relationship with his grandparents. Because of this, I leave my daughter with Phillip's mother, and pull my husband to the side to talk.
"Fuck this." He says, "We're not going to change Six's name. My parents can kiss goodbye our daughter!"
"Phillip!" I whisper- shout. Lydia and Jim stare at me, and Jim smiles.
"Phillip no! It's just a little dash, and then Olivia at the end of it. It's her middle name, anyway. Jesus." I say. I was convinced my daughter was going to have a good relationship with her grandparents; she was called Six-Olivia now, and Phillip would never hear the end of it.
"Anne, dear, it's our daughter." Phillip says, putting a hand on my waist.
"Exactly! Please, do this for me, baby. Please. Tell your bloody father it's Six-Olivia." I say.
Phillip's face turns stony but he nods anyway and turns towards his parents. He holds out his hands for our baby girl, and Lydia obediently hands him the baby.
"I guess she's Six-Olivia, now then." He says, and Lydia nods only but Jim clears his throats and smirks.
"Son, I knew you'd come around-"
"Don't expect to see too much of her." Phillip says, cutting his father off. He hauls Six-Olivia into her buggy and we leave, hand in hand, without saying a word.
People look at us strangely in the streets, but I lost my care for those looks a long time ago. The walk back home is a long one, so I take my time to sort the things in my head out. I make a little table, sort of, of things I've cleared up and things I've got to do.
1: Talk to Barnum.
That is the first thing I've got to do when I've got the chance. I've been off the trapeze for nearly a year, now, and God I've missed it! I knew Barnum would come around- give it a week, and he'd push his worries aside and agree to me continuing. Although he was a good man, Barnum cared strongly about his show.
2: Get in touch with Jenny Lind.
This was an exhausting one! I'd last talked to Jenny about a year and a half ago- at the show she did. I'd managed to snag a few words from her later on in the evening; I'd told her she was amazing, and she'd told me she was a fan of the trapeze. We only talked for a few minutes but I was sure she was fond of me. This was confirmed a few days ago, when I received a letter from her. It was short:

Dear Anne Wheeler Carlyle,
Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl. Talk soon,
Jenny Lind.

Ok, it was very short, but it showed that Jenny Lind had taken a notice to me. For one, it was kind to send somebody that you'd only talked to once, a year and a half ago, a letter on the birth of their child. Therefore, a letter would be sent to Miss Jenny Lind ASAP.
"Honey, I'm going to see my friend William, just for a bit. Do you want to wait outside here?" Phillip asks me. We where standing outside a small white house. William (the friend at our wedding) lived here.
"I'll walk on ahead, don't worry. Bye." I say, before quickly kissing my husband.
I take the long route home; I'm sure Phillip will stay a long time at William's anyway. I sing, ignoring the weird glances I get, to my baby daughter.
"Six-Olivia," I sing, smiling. My own baby girl!
"Six-Olivia, I love you."
