  Just so that my readers don't get confused, this chapter is in Melanie's P.O.V. Oh and if you have no patience for long games, I'm sorry. Why am I apolizing? You'll know why at the end of this Chapter. 😊

Chapter 13 - Get to know ya game.:

  I was in a that state between when you're waking up and when you still asleep.

  I started thinking about today.

  Today, there's a lot that is supposed to happen, Alec's stuff is supposed to arrive, Alec is supposed to leave, and Gran set up a 'girl's day out'.

  I opened my eyes and sat up on the bed. It was still dark out, that's how early it was. I don't know what time it is though.

  I stood and walked over to the closet. I opened the door and starting looking for some clothes to wear today.

  I grabbed a green blouse, blue skinny jean shorts that were knee length, and some white flip flops.

  I changed quickly and walked back into 'my' bedroom.

  I closed the closet door and walked through the bedroom to get out and then into the bathroom across the hall.

  Once I got in there, I closed the door behind me and stood in front of the sink. I pulled out my borrowed brush and started brushing my hair. Then I brushed my teeth and put on deodorant.

  When I was done freshening up, I walked down the stairs, to the kitchen. As I walked through the house, it was silent, that means that no one is up.

  I decided to return the feeling of new love for a family by making them breakfast. I don't know what to make though.

   I think that maybe I'll make eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. My Mom taught me how to cook at a young age.

  I got done with everything else and started on the fried eggs when Gramps walked into the kitchen.

  "Mmmm......something smells good," he said, pulling out a chair from the table and sitting down.

  "Linda is getting ready, she'll be down soon," he said, giving me a smile.

  "Alright, I just figured that I might as well make my stay worthwhile for you guys with breakfast," I told him.

  "You're alright Mel, I know it doesn't feel like it yet, but eventually we'll feel like family to you. You just have to give it time," he explained. I gave him a smile.

  I gave him his breakfast and a few seconds later while I was making more eggs, Gran and Alec walked into the kitchen.

  "Mmmm....something smells good," Alec said.

  I laughed,"That's the same thing Gramps said."

  Gramps chuckled at this as I gave everyone their food. I served myself breakfast after everyone else.

  We all sat in silence while we ate, the only sounds were forks clinking against plates.

  When everyone was done, I did the dishes and Gran put them away because I didn't know where the dishes went.

  Everyone thanked me and then Gramps went off to help the farm hands with the chores. Alec already had his stuff by the door ready for his flight.

   It was about six o'clock in the morning, we had an hour before we had to leave for Alec's flight. After he boards, Gran and I are going around town and having our 'girls day out'.
