I met with Dectective Fusco the next day, after calling him and asking for the earliest time to meet. We sat down in the interrogation room c, just like the previous times. Dectective Carter had called in sick that day.

"So Kiley, what's so urgent that you needed to meet with me this early?" It was 7:30 am.

"When I lived in Tennesee my sister Angela was in an abusive relationship I never knew about. When she left the guy, he had threatened to kill her. Well, he did."

"Okay, how is this relevant to what's going on with you?"

"Someone attempted to kill me four days ago, and I think it might be Michael, my sister's killer. Except I'm not sure. I jsut thought about that being a possibilitybecause all of my dad's hitmen aren't after me anymore."

"Well did you recognize him?"

"No" I admitted. I wasn't sure about much anymore these days. "But he was about Michael's height and he wore the same ski mask I remember seeing the night my sister was killed before I passed out."

"Was Michael convicted?"

"Yes, life in prison."

"Any possibility of parole?"

"I'm not sure, I think so though."

Fusco looked at me hard. "What's the name of this suspect so I can take a look at his file?"

"Michael Brooks" I said quietly.

"Okay, can you describe the person who attempted to take your life?" Fusco produced a legal pad and a pen.

"He was 6 feet tall, dark brown eyes, lean but muscular. The rest was covered in black clothes and a ski mask."

"Does that sound like Michael Brooks?"

"Yes, Michael was tall and he had dark brown eyes."

"Okay, can you come back in again tomorrow at the same time and we'll see if this is Michael."

"Okay" I said, not looking forward to the long wait until tomorrow morning.

"See you then Kiley" Dectective Fusco said. "Try to stay inside and with someone though jsut because of this..."

"I'm actually on bedrest and grounded." Fusco raided an eyebrow but didn't say anything more. I left the precinct and headed towards my car. When I got inside there was someone already waiting for me. It was uncle Finch.

He must have made a copy of my key. Dammit.

I got in and buckled in.

"Hello Kiley" Finch said curtly, his lips pursed together. He was probably really pissed off.

"Hello Finch" I said. I must be in heaps of trouble.

"What are you doing up at the precinct at 7:45 am? Who were you meeting with?"

"I met with Dectective Fusco and I needed to do it early."

"So you can try to be back in time before I notice?"

"That was part of the plan, but it involved a more urgent matter."

"What's so urgent?"

"I might know who tried to put a bullet in me four days ago."

"Who?" Uncle Finch sounded curious.

"Anegla's ex boyfriend, Michael Brooks. He was convicted of her death in 2011."

"I thought it was a bad traffic accident" Finch said quietly after some time. "I didn't know they had a previous relationship."

"Well I knew" I said, pulling up to the library and hopping out. "Anyways, how did you even track me down to the precinct?"

"GPS on your phone."

"Dammit" I said. We headed into the library together. Shaw and Reese were sitting on the couch.

"Michael Brooks killed your sister and now you fear he might be after you" Reese stated.

"Yeah" I said, a little cold. "Is that impossible?"

"No actually...." Shaw stated but stopped when Finch gave her a look. "It's nothing."

"Wait a minute" I interrupted Finch. "Is Michael the new number or am I?"

"Michael" Finch said, putting his hand on my shoulder. "We think you may be his victim."

I said nothing, just stood there trying to be calm while my mind scattered in a million different directions.

Michael's out?

How?

Why?

When did he get out?

Why wasn't I informed?

What the hell is going on here?

Am I not safe?

Does Fusco know already?

Is that why he gave me that warning to stay inside and with someone?

What the hell do other people know that I don't?

The questions were giving me a headache so I took some aspirin and laid down. When I woke up, everyone was gone except Finch, who was talking to Reese in an urgent voice.

"No Mr. Reese, he's at the warehouse district. Building 4. Get there quickly."

"We'll give it our all Finch" and ended the call. I stayed in the shadows of the hallway, hearing Finch muttering to himself that he shoudl've warned me sooner or put me in a safer place than New York until Michael was gone.

I went back to my room and changed clothes into a black t shirt and jeans, putting my sneakers on. I slipped out my window and headed towards the warehouse district. I turned off my phone's GPS so Finch couldn't track me down. This time I grabbed a loaded gun Reese had left at the library.

I made it down there in record time and slinked in the building. I heard and saw no one. I kept close to the walls as I heard footsteps come in the room.

I froze only to see Reese and Shaw. The room was empty except for us, there was nothing to hide behind.

Shaw waved me over, she had a look of urgency in her eyes. I sauntered over through the middle of the room. There was an observation deck on top. As I made my way closer to the duo, Shaw screamed at me to duck as bullets sprayed the room.

A bullet hit me in the back of my neck. I fell to the ground as one of the duo returned fire. i looked up at the observation deck feeling blood leave my body rapidly.

It was none other than Michael Brooks, holding a gun as he fell over the edge dead. Shaw was panicking about my blood loss.

Reese crouched down at my side and tried to coax me into staying with them, help was on the way. My body started to go limp, I felt the life drain out of me. My eyes fluttered one last time at Shaw who was crying and Reese who had tears in his eyes.

The next thing I knew I was standing with my deceased family members, we all had angel wings on our shoulders. My mom held out her hand, I took it. "Time to come home sweetheart" my mother said.
