I'm home doing homework even though I can't get my mind off of what Rick and I discussed today; also I just want to read the journal but I don't want my dad to just walk in and he finds me reading it. I feel like I should make up something that will get him to finally talk to me about our family secrets. There was a knock on my door.

"Come in." I said.

"Hi." My dad stepped in.

"Hey, um, I first just want to say I'm sorry about this morning. I'll wait. I get that maybe it's something you and mom would've told us at the same time so maybe now is still not a good time." I lied kind of.

"Thank you for understanding. How was school?" Like always he still dropped it.

"Good, you know, still school." I grinned.

"Alright. Lasagna for dinner, does that sound good?" He asked.

"Yeah, sure."

"Ok, I'll let you be with your homework." He smiled then closed the door as he walked out.

(One hour later)

Sam walked into my room with wet hair as he just got out of the shower. He was in his Metallica tee and flannel pajama pants. He sat down on my bed.

"So, anything new?" He wondered.

"Not much but I believe it's true. Rick told me-"

"Rick?" He questioned.

"Mr. Saltzman. He told me I can call him Rick. Um, he told me that he met a druid. A druid is part of Gaelic mythology."

"And you believed him?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"He gave me truth. One of his friends is a druid. He told me a story the he was shot and his friend has the ability to heal. Rick can give you proof because he has a bullet wound scar."

"Ok, anything else?" He wondered.

"He told me he's met a banshee before." I told Sam.

"And what did-"

"Dinner guys!" Our dad shouted from downstairs.

"I'll tell you later." I said.

"Alright but this is still between us right?" He questioned as he stood up.

"Well-"

"Right and Mr. Saltzman too. That's alright though. Let's go before dad comes upstairs." He chuckles and I followed him downstairs. We walked into the kitchen.

"So any exciting things happen today?" Dad asked both of us.

"Um, oh, well-"

"I have a date Friday." Sam smiled.

"You do? Oooo!" We all chuckled, "Did you know?" He looked at me.

"Yeah, I'm kind of the one who got them a date." I smiled.

"Well good. It's about time he goes on a date."

"Hey!" Sam shouted and we all laughed.

"Come on, grab a piece."

We just finished dinner and I'm helping my dad with dishes as Sam cleans the table. The doorbell rang.

"I got that." Dad dried his hands quickly then went to the front door.

"Did you invite someone over?" Sam came over to me.

"No, did you?"

"No."
