It's Wednesday of next week and after that talk I had with my father, everything has been good. I didn't answer all the questions in history like Rick asked me. He did call on me though. The first basketball game was yesterday and obviously I went to support Sam. Rick, Em, Kate, Damon and even Stefan came too. Sam did really well and he was happy out there just like he always is. They won the game by twenty points. Last year the team didn't do that well. Everyone says because Sam wasn't there. I heard the coach tell Sam that he's the heart of the team. I got a huge smile from that.

After school today I went over to the Salvatore house. I didn't remember the place at all. I've only been there like twice when I was younger. Damon and I just kind of hung out you could say. I'm happy with him. He showed me around the house a bit. The punishment his dad did against Stefan was telling him he has to be home right after school and that he can't go out. Plus he did end up taking Stefan's phone and I laughed from that. Damon was pissed that it was just that. But it's seven and Damon just dropped me off at my house. Sam's home, Rick's home, and I know that dinner is almost ready considering Rick did say dinner is gonna be ready soon so come home. I walked into my house and I can smell that we are having fish for dinner. I hope it's either salmon or mahi mahi. I would really love if it was yellowtail which is my favorite.

"Skye." Sam came downstairs and gave me a hug.

"Hi Sammy." I chuckled, "What's going on because you've never just randomly giving me a hug like this?" I questioned him.

"Well I don't know how to say it?" Sam was worried. I looked at him confused. Wait.

"He's home isn't he?"

"Yes." Sam nodded.

"And I'm gonna guess he made that blackened mahi mahi that I like to act as an apology?"

"Yes." Sam nodded, "Most likely."

"I don't want to be here." I told Sam then was about to turn around. Sam grabbed my shoulder. I turned around and Rick came over.

"We need to talk; upstairs please." Rick told me. I did a big exhale.

"Ok." I walked upstairs. Rick followed me. I went into my room and Rick closed the door once he walked in. I dropped my bag on my bed, "I don't want him here."

"I know." Rick crossed his arms.

"He shouldn't be here. He's supposed to be in the hospital still for like another month."

"I know." Rick nodded.

"Then how is he here?" I questioned.

"Well he took in what you said to him last week. He slowly started to heal himself making it seem like a faster recovery. The doctor said next week he should leave but your father promised to be in bed rest. He wanted to come home."

"I don't want him here."

"I know but it is his house." Rick shrugged a little.

"Well technically it belongs to him, Sam and me. All of our names are on it. Our mom thought that would be a good idea."

"Do you pay for it?" Rick raised his eyebrows. He has a point.

"Why is he here?" I questioned.

"We had a talk. When you talked to him last week he really took everything in. He wants to be his old self again. That was his words, not mine. He said he'd tell you anything you want to know."

"How am I gonna believe anything he says though?"

"My hearing has advanced a bit more." Sam walked in, "I can literally listen to people's heartbeat and tell when they are lying or not. Don't worry, I only just found out a little while ago and you were out. Coach was talking to someone saying that he'll start next game and his heart raced. He told someone else they were starting and his heart was a steady pace. When he told me I was starting it was normal. The kid he told that he was starting was a freshman and he has been wanting to start. Coach was giving him false hope." Sam told me.
