Finn's POV
I didn't know Noah too well. The most I knew about him was that he was small and probably one of the most pure people I've ever met. I also wasn't sure why of all people he chose to talk to me about his thoughts. I wasn't going to question it mostly because I am a good listener and I enjoy hearing other's stories.
"So what's going on little man?" I asked.
We just arrived at a park by my house and I sat on a swing as he sat on the other.
"Ah...do u ever wanna say someone but you're afraid of what people are gonna think...?" He asked. He was refusing to make eye contact with me.
"Ah ya I guess...I mean everyone has a moment like that...what's going on?" I asked. I took out my cigarettes and lit one.
"Can...can I try one?" He asked.
"If u think u can handle one" I said as I took another one out and lit it for him. He took it out of my hand and took a puff. He looked like he was gonna be able to handle it for a couple seconds and then started coughing like crazy and nearly threw up. I patted his back.
"It's ok dude, I was like that on my first one too" I said laughing. He giggled a little.
"You know Noah if u wanna say something just say it....it can't be that ba-"
" I'mgay." He said it so quick I almost didn't catch it.
"O-oh...ok" I said. I wasn't sure how to respond...I didn't really care that he was but I knew other people would.
"Uh...ar-are u gonna tell anyone else?" I asked. I felt like I was asking all the wrong questions but I was doing my best.
"I don't know...I should but I don't want anyone to see me as different or weird...I just wanna be normal." He said with tears in his eyes.
"Hey...hey Noah...nothing about u is not normal. We're in the 21st century, no one is gonna stone u with rocks of burn u at the stake...of course there is gonna be some asshole that decides to make fun of u for being who u are but fuck them because they wish they were as brave as u" I said. I hugged him now.
"As for our friends...oh course they're gonna accept u, why wouldn't they? You're still the same Noah they all know and love" I said.
"You know...telling u is the first time I said it out loud" he said smiling.
"Wanna say it again?" I asked laughing.
"Actually ya...I'm gay...I'm gay" He said.
"Say it louder" I said smiling.
"IM GAY...IM GGGAAAAYYYY.....WWOOOOOO" he shouted.
"That's it!" I yelled. He seemed to catch his breath now.
"Thanks a bunch Finn" he said.
"No problem" I said smiling.
"Can u do me a favor?" He asked
"Sure" I said taking a puff.
"Don't tell anyone about this yet...not until I'm ready" he said.
"No problem little man"
