I walked down the street where she lives, looking for her. She was an angel this time for this Halloween. I tapped her shoulder as she turned around to see who it was. Her bright smile formed upon her lips. "Mr.!" She screamed. I laughed as she jumped onto my arms, luckily I caught her. "I thought you forgot about me!" She whined as she buried her head into my shoulder. I gulped to see the blue and black mist circle around her ankles and the wrists.

"I couldn't forget my little Angel," I told her. She looked up at me with a bright smile.

"Oh, I am an angel!" She told me. "Look at my wings and my halo!" She looked at me with a smile.

I smiled, "I see. You are such a beautiful one too." I told her.

She giggled as she just jumped off my arms, I frowned but ignore it. I looked at her as she talked about all the different candy she got but then she frowned, "Mommy said I can't have any friends." She told me.

I looked at her confused, bending down to her level in the middle of the sidewalk. "How come?" I asked her.

She looked at me, "Mommy said you are in my head." She told me, I looked at the door, "Your real right?" I nod my head but I was about to walk over to her mother but she stops her, "Please don't tell her I told you that." She begged me, I stayed silent as I just nod my head. She didn't say much, "Can we get more candy?" She asked, her eyes looked up at me. Begging me to go with her.

I nod my head, "Anything for you Angel. I mean... yeah, we can." I coughed.

She tilts her head but shrugged it off. I looked at the blue mist that circled around her wrist and ankles. What did the God do to her? I tried to help this girl to be pure, but yet again this god has taken forms of all. I sighed as I looked to the side to see the demons feeding off the fears of the young and old. I looked down to see the little girl stopping at the house, and the same routine continues like last Halloween. The demons don't come near, their King has claimed this person. I looked down to see that she grew just a bit. Her hands still small compared to my large ones. My human form is pleasing to her. I smiled. She looked up at me with a smile.

My dark heart melted at the smile, for a year I have watched her. Saved her from the temptation of all the sins. I watched her over her like an angel, but I am not one. I am her little mischief devil. I will protect the girl I admire, this little girl I cannot have. Humans shouldn't bear the crimes of their God(s). I looked down at her to see her tired once more. I didn't want the night to end. I was gone for so long. She was dragging her feet once more, I picked her up as I grab her same bucket from last year in my hands. I held her as I walked her home. The demons walked as I sneered at them, they went their own ways. I walked over to the home but this time she woke up. I put her down, I turned around about to leave but she grabs my hand.

I turned around to see her rubbing her eyes, "Can you come inside? I am afraid." She confessed to me. I frowned at the last words she spoke. I sighed as I nod as she slowly opened the door. She put her fingers up to her lips in a shushing motion. I nod my head as I followed her inside, feeling the barrier open up. She invited a devil in her home, I smiled. I looked around the house, to see the T.V on and someone laying on the couch with a can of beer. I looked down at my Angel to see nodding up the stairs. I followed her as she snuck me upstairs. She went to her bedroom that I know so well. It wasn't much but it was kids room. She told me to sit as I put her candy on her dresser. "I am afraid to sleep. Mommy comes home with guys and they're always making noises." She told me.

I frowned, she told me to wait as she went into the bathroom to change. I waited to look at the time. It's around 11:00 I sighed looking at the door. This poor child deserves much more. She walked over the bed tucking herself in. I smiled as somewhat curled up near me. "I'll be here you just close your eyes and sleep." She did so as she closed her eyes as I tucked her in tightly as I leaned in to give her a kiss on the forehead. I got up then walked down the halls to see the woman kissing a guy. I frowned. Tonight isn't the night.
