Chapter 19

Its been a couple of weeks since that incident happened and i dont feel better at all. Even though all of that was over, I still couldn't shake off that feeling of being safe anytime I was near him. I feel like I'm being foolish and all, but I still don't feel comfortable around him.

But its not like he has made any efforts to comfort me. We've been talking a lot less since it happened and its not doing anything to put my mind at ease. But it seems like I'm not the only one noticing this. Erica has come to me multiple times during the weeks asking about our relationship. I'm of course happy that she cares and all but it does become annoying.

I am tired of beating around the bush though. It's obvious that Jake is ignoring me. So I am going to confront him. If I want this relationship to work, someone has to say something, and its quite obvious Jake isn't going to be caving in first. So with a mindset I started getting ready.

After I finally finished getting ready, I headed downstairs. I was surprised not to see my mom making breakfast as usual. I went over to the island in the kitchen to see a note by the woman of topic.

Hey sweetie. I know this is unexpected to not see your wonderful mother that you love making breakfast for you.

I scoffed but continued reading.

So the reason of my disappearance is because I have a date! Yes I know shocking. But I am allowed to have some fun since your father decided to leave. Anyways I made you pancakes this morning. There sitting in the fridge. Have a good day at school hun. And I left fifty dollars for dinner just in case I won't be back soon.

Who has a date so early in the morning.  I thought to myself.

So I quietly ate my breakfast deep in thought and headed for school.

School went on the same way as it has been. Actually i take that back. Ever since Jake and I started daring, people would be coming to me left and right. I've never been the person who enjoyed attention but this was nice. I've actually made a few friends. There not shallow and only talk to me to get closer to me. The opposite actually. They are really nice. Seems like there only reason that they wouldn't approach me is because I didn't seem approachable. I call bull on that but I'm not hung up on it.

One of my friends, Frannie walked over to me by my locker.

"Hey Tessa," she exclaimed, shocking me.

"Oh hey," I said giving her a small smile.

"Well someone is real happy today," She said sarcastically.

"Sorry just kind of out of it," I sighed.

"Kay girl we've got three minutes till the late bell," she said checking her watch. "Talk."

"Alright. I think Jake is avoiding me. I know it sounds stupid, but we haven't spoken to each other in a while," I sighed.

"It's fine to feel like that. But you've got to talk to him soon." She said.

"I know. I'm actually planning to meet him today. I texted him to meet me behind the school after our classes our over. He's already replied. So I'll get my explanation later," I said

"Alright chica. As long as you are fine," Frannie smiled at me.

We heard the bell ring over us.

"Jeez, were late again," I sighed.

"At least its not Mrs. Bitch class," Frannie said while walking to our next class.

You mean Mrs. Birch," I said walking alongside her.

"Same thing," and we laughed together.

The last bell of the day finally rang and I went to my desired destination. Jake was never on time so I didn't expect him to come anytime soon. So I waited patiently.

Its been an hour since I've been here and everyone is long gone by now.

Where is he? I thought. I knew that Jake can be late but no this late. I've already texted my mom that I would be late tonight.

I decided to go look for him. He knows he supposed to be here so I wonder what's holding him up.

I didn't have to look far to find him by the bushes in front of the school, making out with my so called best friend. Erica.

Hey guys. Its been a long time. And I know this is a short chapter, but that's all I could muster right now. School is a pain in my ass and my parents are aruging so much, soooooo Anyways, Jake cheated?!??! Not shocking to me since I knew this but y'all maybe.
