"I will do whatever is required of me to help end this war," Lotor insisted.

Allura didn't seem convinced. "Shiro? I think I'm right in assuming where you stand?"

Shiro nodded. If Keith trusted him, then he decided it was right to trust Lotor as well, even if every instinct in his body told him otherwise. Shiro hoped he was just being paranoid.

"Coran?" Allura continued.

Coran nodded as well.

"Very well... I will have to call a meeting among the other leaders to get their opinion on the truce. If all goes well, We will have a banquet to celebrate the treaty after it is signed."

Lotor smiled. "I'm looking forward to it!"

Shiro looked up at Lotor, who smiled back at him with gleaming eyes. "I'll show you to your room, Emperor Lotor..."

"Thank you," Lotor replied as he stood up to follow the black paladin. Their footsteps echoed on the floor as they walked.

"So you're the black paladin then?"

Shiro looked back in surprise. "Well... yeah..."

"That's quite an honor." Lotor smiled up at him. "To be chosen by the black lion... it doesn't choose just anyone, you know."

"Right..." Shiro stopped in front of the guest room. "Here's your room."

"Thank you." He stepped into the room and looked around. "Seems a bit... standard for a room near the legendary defenders..."

"It's practical."

"Quite practical... I agree..."

He looked back at Lotor, an uneasy feeling in his stomach. "If you don't need anything, I'll be going now."

"That will be all. You And your team have my humblest gratitude." He bowed slightly.

Shiro nodded and turned to leave and the door shut behind him. He continued to walk down the corridor, his footsteps echoing along the walls. Recent events still did not sit well with him. He turned toward the training deck to work off a bit of his nervous energy.  Something was coming, and he intended to be ready for it when it did.
