"Yep..." Coran said after inspecting Keith's eyes and examining his hands. He took Keith's head in both hands and turned His head this way and that to inspect both sides. "Just what I thought."
"What is it?" Keith pressed.
"I have no idea," Coran replied, stepping away. "I've never seen anything like this before."
The team's faces fell.
"Well... what do you know about the Galra?" Keith asked hesitantly.
Allura's expression hardened and she turned away.
Coran pondered for a moment. "I know a fair amount about the Galra but I'm not sure if it would help in your case."
"Why not?" Shiro cut in.
"Well now. It's actually quite interesting. You see, Keith may be the only one of his kind."
"My kind?" Keith crossed his arms.
"Sorry, I meant to say that the Galra aren't known for..." he cleared his throat. "...having children with those who aren't also Galra."
"Well that sounds pretentious," Pidge said.
"Of course," Allura responded, crossing her arms. "They're Galra. What else would you expect from those monsters?" Allura and Keith made eye contact briefly before they both looked away.
"Thanks a lot." Keith said darkly. His eyes drifted up to the rest of the team. "Just lock my door at night, okay?" His gaze locked on Allura, hiding the pain behind a scowl. "You don't want me to turn on you." With that, Keith turned on his heel only to be held back by Lance.
"Keith, don't go."
"It's fine, okay?!" Keith snapped. "I told you this would happen. Why should I expect anything different? Let go of me!" He pushed Lance away and stomped out of the room.
Lance rounded on Allura. "HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT!" He snapped. "After everything he's done for us!"
"Lance, calm down." Shiro tried to put a hand on his shoulder.
"No!" Lance ignored him. "You trusted him long before you knew his heritage, Princess! How could you?" Lance was on the brink of tears.
Come on, guys." Hunk spoke up, moving to stand between Allura and Lance. "We're supposed to be a team. I know we're scared because we don't know what's going on but imagine what Keith could be feeling right now."
"Lance..." Allura began.
Lance stepped back, shaking his head. "I'm gonna go see if Keith's okay." He turned on his heel to run after the Red Paladin.
___________________________Keith dodged a strike from the training android before swinging his bayard around to knock the android's head clean off. Keith knew that training while angry wasn't the best thing to do but he'd be lying if he said it wasn't satisfying. "Training level 3!" He shouted after the previous android was sent away. He continued for a few ticks more before the sound of footsteps echoed from behind him. He assumed the simulation was a one on one duel but Keith supposed that it could have been reprogrammed. He spun around, bayard outstretched only to find someone duck below the blade to slide down at his feet. Keith stopped short, the blade hovering inches from Lance's neck.
