Shouts. Pants. Running.

Kagami's father yelling for mother and him as everything shattered around them.

He's on the floor, too frozen to stand. His mother ran towards him, screaming his name.

Shots hit her back.

She fell to the floor before his very eyes.

Drowning in an ocean of red.

"Kagami."

Kagami's eyes automatically open. Aomine appears in his sight, with the beautiful, beautiful deep blue eyes and hair, a face of worry frowning at him.

Where am I?

"You okay?"

Kagami looked down. His hands were clasped tightly around Aomine's. Immediately, he panicked a little and tried to move it, but Aomine kept his hold, his hands squeezing tightly.

Kagami found himself sitting on a bench. Slowly, he took his time and scanned his surrounds, his breaths getting slower.

Leaves swaying gently to the wind. The dunk sound of a Basketball. The noises of children shouting as one of them passed the ball. Kagami then realised they were at the Basketball court near his apartment.

He looked back to Aomine, who simply stared back at him, as if giving some time to process, not asking any questions. And Kagami appreciated that.

He doesn't need to know, and he should never know.

"Yeah. I'm okay."

Bruises. Torn clothes. Bleeding.

It's happening again.

The bully's words turned into echo as Kagami raced to the toilet.

"You red haired bastard."
