Queen Maldita meets King Cassanova

Chapter 24

"Brent why are we here?" Nasa harap kami ng isang puntod. Puntod ng isang babae.

He was just keenly looking at the grave. "Hey Brent." Then he faced me and I saw him crying. "Hey, are you oka-is she the girl  I saw in the picture?" He nodded.

"Who is she?"

He was quiet for a couple of seconds.

"She's Rianne, the only girl I loved in my life." His tears were again falling. "She died when we were fighting. That time may nagbarilan sa labas ng bar and the bullet went to her straight to her heart."

"Brent". I whispered to my self.

"I was so helpless. Wala akong nagawa. Dead in arrival. She died while we are in a fight."

This time, I kneel down and hug him. This is the least that I can do.

"Just speak it out. I will listen."

He look at me, his eyes were full of sadness.

"Hindi ko kase matanggap na ganun lang siya mawala sakin. Na sa ganun paraan kami magtatapos. She was my life. She was my everything. My world revolved around her."

I'm speechless... really speechless.
How was I able to judge a person who had been suffering too much pain. The same way I was before.

"All I want to do is to ask forgiveness for that night and for everything."

"She already forgave you, I am sure." I am very careful of what to say because this is too sensitive to talk.

"You sure."

I nodded. "When you love someone, and that someone made a mistake, regardless of how big it is. You will forgive everything even he isn't apologizing yet."

His smile flashed and it was a relief for me seeing him smile somehow.

"Is this why you took girls for granted, hmm?" I sarcastically ask him to slightly lighten up the atmosphere?

He  chuckled. "Men has needs Lianna, and I am careful not to fall to someone."

"Why?"

"I am afraid to lose someone I love again."

I smiled at him. "Love is all about sacrifices. It was like a deathful journey that for you to saviour success, you must feel pain and sorrow and learn how to face consequences of entering such decision."

He looked at me again dead in the eyes. "That's why you hated Jay so much and hid yourself in a stubburn lady?"

I laughed. "I learned to what happened between me and him. I realized my life must not stop because of that one heartbreak."

I stood up. "I will go ahead, I'll wait you inside the car." I patted his shoulder.

After few minutes, I saw him approaching the car. I released a loud sigh. What is this weird feeling?

He got in into the driver seat. I look at him..  and he look at me dead in the eye while smiling. "Thank you." He said. My heart flatters with that simple words. That means a lot.

After we visit the grave, hinatid ko muna si Lianna sa kanila. Finally, nailabas ko rin ang lahat... Maybe I should stop what I am doing. Being playful sucks honestly.

"Brent!"

What the heck was that noise?

"Dude!" It's them. Andrew jumped into my bed. "Gising dude."

"I'll change my code of this house now."
