Chapter 16: Smile

"Are you wearing my clothes again?" Grayson asked seeing his girlfriend who had set her phone up against the kitchen counter, was wearing his blue long sleeve (the one from Gray dares Ethan) and another pair of leggings.

"I miss you and your clothes are very comfortable, Gray."

"I love that shirt."

"I do too."

"You know what sucks more?"

"What?"

"You look better in my clothes than I do. You look so damn good today, baby girl."

"Oh stop Gray I do not."

"Oh Rae you do."

"It's true Rae you do!" Ethan yelled agreeing with his twin brother. Raelynn laughed.

"I'm happy he agrees but then again ETHAN SHUT UP!" Gray said watching Rae from the screen of his phone pouring herself a glass on orange juice.

"My aunt should be here any minute so I am going to go downstairs and wait for her."

"Tell Clara I said hi okay?"

"You got it babe."

"Love you, Rae Bae."

"Love you Gray."

He hung up and set his phone down. "Are you almost ready Ethan?" Grayson called to his brother who was in the bathroom.

"Yeah just waiting for you and Rae to get off the phone. Is she seriously going wedding dress shopping today?"

"Yeah why?"

"You guys don't even have a date set yet."

"So what? She can still look."

"Gray you don't think it's too soon?"

"Ethan, she's the only person I want to spend the rest of my life with."

They walked to the elevator. "I'm just saying, you guys are seventeen and have a long life ahead of you guys."

"Yeah to spend together. I messed up once and lost her, I will not allow that to happen and if marrying her is what I have to do then that's what I'm going to do."

"I get that but Grayson you guys are seventeen."

"What's the difference between you and Maddy and Rae and I?"

"We're not engaged. We've been together since junior high and I don't plan on proposing until I think it's right not just out of spite just to try to fix what I messed up."

They exited the elevator to be surrounded by fans and that interrupted their conversations. Once they made their way to the car they continued the conversation. "Ethan I love her and she loves me."

"I get that Gray but once again you're only seventeen."

"We can be engaged for as long as we want. There isn't a rush."

"Okay Gray."

"Do you know what style you want, Rae?" Clara asked her niece.

"Not sure. I guess lace would be pretty but I came here with an open mind so that I can find the perfect one instead of trying to find one that doesn't exist."

They had grabbed a few dresses for her to try on. She tried the two on until she put on the third one which she was totally in love with. She was in love with the lace that hung on her forearms and was in love with the way it fit her.
