The two boys headed home. As they ran, "You saw that right. What was that? An angel or a fairy?" asked Thin "I don't know and I don't care, I'm going home. I'll see you in school." said Johnny "Hey why do you act like you're after of that little thing?" said Thin as they stopped running and were walking slowly down the road.
"Did you see what he just did? Or was I the only one that went on a hayride? Look, I'm going home." said Johnny as he turned and entered his house. "You are afraid of that thing. Go ahead go home. I'm out of here too." he said as he turned the next corner. "Wow, that was magical. What was that little thing?" Thin thought to himself as he entered his house, didn't tell anyone anything.
He was late like always and his dinner was sitting alone on the table. Now, Johnny, he went home and ate dinner with his family, who waited for him, before beginning to eat. Tomas ran straight home, grabbed his packages and entered the house. "Mother, mother, I'm so sorry I'm late. Here are all the things you've asked for, excepted the danishes, I ate those," he explained as he placed the things on the dining room table.
"Young man where have you been. You left this house six hours ago. I've been worried sick. Your father asked for you, and I said you were out feeding the animals. Which was a lie? So where have you been?" Fredda asked.
"I'm sorry mother, somehow, I went straight, and I didn't turn right. When I realized that I was lost, it was too late for I was really really really lost. Mother, I was so afraid, I really didn't know what to do." Tomas explained
"So, how did you find your way?" his mother replied with a strange smile, that Tomas knew she wasn't believing a word he said. "I really don't know. I keep looking for that big rock, and somehow I came across the rock. I was so happy to see that rock mother. I then went right, as you told me to do.
Then when I saw the road to go home. I ran all the way here." he explained in his own way for Tomas was a good liar, every word he spoke that was a lie, made him feel even more guilty. But he stuck to his lie, "Mother, may I be excused, I'm really tired, and I would like to clean up." said Tomas as he headed towards his room. "We'll talk about this more some other time. Make sure you eat your dinner before you head to bed." said his mother as she went about her business.
Fredda as a child heard many stories about the magic of that forest. But those who do see this magic are chosen, there's special in some way. He's lying, but about what." she thought as she headed towards her bedroom to relax.
