SIMON'S P.O.V
I angrily threw my phone towards the bed, not sure how else to release my frustration. I sat on the edge of my bed, head in hands, angry at myself for what I had said to Hailey.
I knew what I said was unfair and obviously I wanted to just spend time with her, but I had been looking forward to this night for so long. I missed spending time with her, and I know it was completely my fault, but we had planned together to celebrate this night.
I decided I'll see her tomorrow and just go out and get pissed tonight instead.
As I buttoned up my shirt and finished styling my hair, there was a knock at the door. I darted to answer it, thinking Hailey might've come back but it was only Josh and Freya.
We walked to the party together and I headed straight to the bar. Sitting down and finishing half the glass, I pulled out my phone in an attempt to call Hailey once more before I got totally smashed.
No answer.
With a sigh, I replaced my phone in my pocket and returned to my drink. Occasionally throughout the night, I moved from the dance floor with the guys, back to my seat at the bar.
The music was raving, and it felt nice to relax, knowing no cameras were around - due to our no vlogging rule at the party.
As I took another sip from what could've been my 5th, maybe 6th drink that night, an unfamiliar blonde girl sat next to me.
"Hi, I'm Talia," she spoke bluntly.
"Simon," I held out my hand, introducing myself.
"You're looking good tonight," she said looking me up and down.
"I have a girlfriend," I simply stated, remembering the argument from a couple hours earlier. Did I even still have Hailey?
"And she is where..?", she asked searching the party.
"She 'has to work' and couldn't come tonight," I basically mocked Hailey, quoting what she had said in our hotel room.
"So she's not here," she stated simply. "You know there's no cameras around so if anything happens..", she said, running her fingers along my hand, speaking slowly, as if, if she spoke too fast I would be unable to decipher what she said. She was referring to our rule for the party that we didn't want any vlogging or filming going on.
"..I still have a girlfriend," I slurred, pulling my hand back.
Suddenly, her lips were on mine and for a moment too long I waited before pulling back. "I have a girlfriend," I restated, seemingly unable to say anything else.
After minutes of trying to convince her and myself that it was wrong, I gave up. All I wanted was some attention that Hailey couldn't give me that night.
"But as you said she's not here so, if you wanna go somewhere..", she waved her arms around.
I nodded and stood up, almost losing balance. I followed her to the lift until Josh was suddenly in front of us.
"Josh, it's chill," I said, begging he would move out of the way.
"Simon, think about what you're doing. Stay here, I'll keep you company. Or I'll take you to bed."
"Josh what the fuck? I can make decisions myself."
"Simon, think about this. You know how much this is gonna hurt Hailey," Josh remained adamant that he wasn't letting me go up with this new girl.
"And where is she now Josh? Huh? She didn't care enough to come," I replied, my voice starting to rise in volume.
"You know she had to work. Bro think about this," he then signalled to the girl next to me, "I think you should go."
"I think I can make decisions for myself. Simon? Do you want me to leave?", she asked.
With a quick "no" from me and a "fuck off Josh," I grabbed the girl's hand, stepped around Josh who sighed with disappointment, and headed upstairs.
