(Victor Huff) The sounds of war were soon fading and being replaced by my heartbeat, which shook my eardrums. The dirt terrain I'd been speeding through had turned into grassy plains, heavily littered with pretty looking weeds.

My streak of luck had ended on the chopper right when I found a huge forest. Still having not found the brakes, I let go of the ignition and drifted in circles until the chopper came to a stop. I turned the vehicle off and swung my legs over one side, getting off. Looking behind me at the progress I'd made, a few tears welled up in my eyes.

Humans had stormed that prison to save us and I had ended up running from the humans and the aliens. It's wasn't like I could've snuck through enemy lines towards the humans and my cautious brain didn't wanna see what would happen if the aliens defended against the rescue op successfully.

Though I felt I had made the right decision running away from all of it, I beat myself up into an emotional breakdown over the thought of getting back to humanity and being brought back to my parents.

That was all I cared about and all I really had. I'd been homeschooled by my parents throughout my life. Now I didn't even have them to help me or protect me from the dangers that lurk on this planet. After a small breakdown, I mindlessly walked into the woods, not knowing what new life I was about to stumble into.

(Brute Chieftain) Traveling to the next safe outpost was no fun task.

I had been chased by multiple gungooses that picked up on my escape. However, My Revenant out-classed their toy cars and with a bit of magic, I easily obliterated any pursuers following me.

Resuming course towards the outpost, I made it at day break and wasn't in the best mood. I realized that I had nothing but this vehicle, unless some of my troops made it back. I slowed down my revenant and then hopped out, walking into my new safe zone. It was another set up of multiple one story houses, made out of earthy materials that proved to make a sturdy structure. Tin roofs covered all these houses that were lined up along one another.

I walked down multiple dirt paths and turned before making it to one building that stood out from the others. A large stone building sat in the heart of all others. I huffed and walked in. It seemed more elites populated the area than brutes and that didn't seem to be good news for me since we hated each other as it was. There were even occasions where we couldn't stand to be allies in some places; I just hoped this wasn't one of those places.

I walked through the tan curtains that served as a door and was met with a set of perfectly crafted wooden chairs that sat on the other side of the room, on top of a circular, maroon rug. Torches hung up from steel brackets on the wall, illuminating the area with a warm glow.
An elite sat in the chair, two more chairs on each side. His mandibles twitched when he saw me and I already wanted to turn back, but I refused.

"What brings you to this outpost? You're a... new face." I could feel a twinge of disgust in his tone and I just snorted.

"I travelled a day to get here. My outpost that I was setting up in preparation for a future assault on humans was attacked when... a kid contacted help, under the assistance of another. One had created a diversion for the one that contacted help." I felt anger seep into my tone as I described the pitiful reason I was here. This was beyond humiliating.

The elite was letting this all soak in and I could feel the amusement emanate from him. "So two kids managed to put all your plans to shambles?" I growled, ready to make a snarky comeback but quickly stopped myself and took a deep breath.
