(Victor Huff) My eyes slowly opened, tears forming from the light shining in my face. It was daybreak and I was cold.

Realization dawned that something had hit me in the back of my head while dad had been screaming my name.

When I tried to throw my hands in front of me and get up, my legs started standing but my hands stayed behind me. I lost balance and fell to the ground, eating some dirt.

"Well what a reunion..." My attention snapped towards a voice behind me that made my heart drop. Standing behind me was the Brute Chieftain that had owned the camp I sort of demolished. I started trembling and muttering "no," over and over again as I scooted away from him.

He walked towards me with this crazed satisfaction and took the gravity hammer off of his back, slapping the pole against his hand.

"You didn't think you'd get away with such a action without there being consequences, did you?" I only stared at him in horror as his grin widened, showing his ugly teeth. The brute behind him was smirking and leaning against a dark looking revenant with an evil red trim sporting it.

"I'd hate to waste daylight so I'm gonna stop antagonizing you and get what I came here for." His face became serious and he stopped tapping the hammer against his hand. I slowly tried to lift myself up, attempting to scream, anything! He pushed me back to the ground and then held his hammer up.

"This is for ruining my reputation you scum-" the gurgle of something dying resonated behind him and he swerved around to see what was up. An energy sword was protruding from the upper chest of the brute that had been watching the little show. Blood spat out his mouth as the sword was yanked out and he fell to the ground, lifeless.

The towering figure of an elite stood there. His gaze went from the dead body, to the Chieftain and then me. His silver eyes locked me in an intense stare that caught my breath.

"SANGHEILI!" The Chieftain roared, throwing both his arms out and he charged towards the elite.

Before the battle could commence, drop pods out of no where flew into the ground, three total. Both species backed up as the hissing of air filled the environment. Three doors were kicked down and the most beautiful thing happened.

Three ODST soldiers stepped out. Each one had silver armor with linear and curved patterns running down the armor, that were all the same design but different colors: Red, Blue and Orange; this ended up becoming my part-time names for them. based off their physique,  I could tell one was female by her slim frame and curvature. The other two were men.

Orange, the female, was the first to act as her visor zoned in on me. She charged towards me and the other two's attention landed on our opponents. The Chieftain roared and swung his hammer at Orange.

With extreme flexibility, she bent all the way back, sliding under the swing. She quickly regained momentum, heading towards me. Blue started pouring rounds from his battle rifle into the Chieftain, who took cover behind the drop pod. Orange slid over to me and ripped off the ropes tying my hands together with pure force.

"Victor! Are you ok?" Before I could even answer, she just threw me over her shoulder and began running away.

I was bouncing which made my answer a little mispronounced. "Wha-at about th-e-e others?" She slowed down and let me go, too focused to hear my question.

"Stay here. They'll be fine. I'll be ri-" A foot connected with the side of her helmet, which sent her bouncing across the ground and into a tree. I stared in speechlessness and looked up, finding myself face to face with the elite. He grabbed my shirt and threw me over his shoulder, running away.
