Everything up to this point has been nothing but overwhelming. Amelia could feel herself begin to sink down into a seat her mind still a tad bit fuzzy from the information that was just given to her. Xander, on the other hand, wasn't having this at all. He didn't like it when he saw Amelia upset and he was going to be damn sure to fix all of this.

"There has to be another way, Alistair?" Xander said in an almost pleading tone of voice as he looked over at him. Xander knew there was no other way, but there at least had to be some form of a loophole. Alistair stroked his chin in thought his eyes squinting just the slightest. He cleared his throat and went to place his hand back down to his side.

"I have an Idea"

That's when Amelia perked up instantly and stood up from her chair that she slouched down into "you do?" she asked in a frantic tone of voice as she didn't realize how close she was getting to him.

"Yes, but there's a 50/50 chance that it may or may not be effective," He said while drawing out a long sigh. He walked over crouching down to an old chest. He had gotten a skeleton key out from his pocket to open it. He opened it and pulled out a small tube of clear liquid. He held it in his hand ever so carefully as though his life depended on it.

"This serum" Alistair started off "once it enters your system you will slowly be killed, but not to were you are killed completely" he went to hand the serum to Amelia a weary look plastered onto his face as she took it.

"Are you sure this will work?" Xander asked while going to cross his arms over his chest.

"Well the last fellow who had taken it, didn't have such luck, but" He prolonged the sentence and that just made Xander real anxious and fidgety wanting him to continue "he was a vampire and Amelia here is half vampire half werewolf" He explained while he went to go grab his glass to pour himself more whiskey. Xander wasn't so trusting of everyone and was very skeptic of Alistair's plan of stopping Isla once and for all.

"I'll do it" Amelia spoke without hesitation as she looked over at Alistair who had his eyebrows raised ever so slightly.

"Well, my dear looks like we have some preparations to make then," He said while downing his glass of whiskey with one gulp. '

"What preparations? She can't just take the serum and things go back to normal?" Madeline asked as Alistair now had his attention upon her. He knew well enough Madeline had a thing for him, but to be truthful so did he.

"We have to wait till the next full blood moon otherwise this won't work" He explained softly while Xander paced around the room stuck inside his own thoughts.

"The next blood moon is in three days" Xander sighed heavily while going to drag his fingers through his hair. Amelia could sense the worry coming off of him. She went to go grab his wrist carefully which made him stop pacing for the time being.

"It will work, if this gets rid of Isla then I'll do it" Amelia was set with going on with the plan, it was because of her existence everyone else had to suffer. Xander gaze softened as his eyes peered up at her. If only he could kiss those lush red rose lips of her. He was always the one that wanted to fix everything, the take charge type of guy. Though he knew this was something Amelia had to take upon her self to stop Isla and her clan of vampires who wanted to bring to war.

"So is it a go dear friend?" Alistair asked as Xander stood there almost hesitant to speak, but knew his answer beforehand.

"Yes," Xander felt his heart wanting to drop knowing the possibilities of what could happen. If this didn't work then he would never see Amelia again. Hear her voice, her beating heart. He knew the fate of everything fell on her and only her and there was nothing he could do to change that. Oh if he could he would do it in an undead heartbeat, but that wasn't possible in the situation they were in.

"Perfect" Alistair went to place a hand onto Xanders' shoulder and had a smile now spread across his lips " No need to worry, this will work I'm certain of it" He whispered to where only Xander himself could hear. Madeline had already left the room as she was growing impatient and needing some air herself. With those words said he left as well leaving both Amelia and Xander alone to themselves.

"We don't have to do this, we could find another way, I could"

"Xander it will be okay, I'll be okay" Amelia reassured but that didn't do anything for him at all. His nerves were still there as he felt her hands being folded into his. If he had a heart it would have missed a beat from her touch.

"I don't like plans that aren't 100% effective" Xander sighed heavily as his golden hazel eyes peered into her emerald green ones.

"I understand, but this is the only option we have with defeating Isla once and for all," She said while letting out a small laugh. She knew well enough herself that this was the only plan that she knew they had. If that meant dying to save everyone else from Islas wrath then it was something Amelia was going to do. She was scared yes but knew things would somehow things would be okay.

The air outside was crisp and the atmosphere was energizing. Madeline stood outside the nightclub feeling the cool breeze flow through her hair while she watched people exit and enter the building. Her head then turned towards Alistair who came walking over towards her. Her back was resting back against the red brick wall and her arms crossed over her chest.

"Madeline" Alistair spoke softly as he went to go stand by her. Madeline's posture straightened a little more as she heard him say her name "I believe we need to have a little talk"

"Talk about what?" She asked while going to take out her box of cigarettes. A bad habit she still had yet to break. She was dead anyway so what did it matter.

"You still smoke?" Alistair asked in a surprised tone of voice as his eyebrow was raised just slightly in surprise.

Madeline rolled her eyes seemingly annoyed by his comment. She brought her lighter up to her cigarette and lit it. She went to go take her first puff and blew out the smoke slowly through her nose "What are you my father?" she asked with an amused laugh while she held her cigarette in her right hand and went to go tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear with the other.

"Fair enough," Alistair said as he went to go back to what he wanted to speak with her about.

"What did you want to talk about?" Madeline asked as she drew out a small breath.

"This has been bothering me for a while actually" he cleared his throat while he went to go lean back against the wall himself "do you by any chance like me more than a friend?"

That question itself made Madeline freeze in her spot "Well I" she stuttered unable to get her words out of her mouth. The atmosphere now feeling a bit uneasy for her as she went to go take another puff from her cigarette.

"I just get this feeling that you do is all if not then-"

"I do actually" Madeline choked out finally as she turned her head to look at him. Alistair himself just stared at her. A small smile begging to form on his lips, but he kept his emotions neutral.

"You do?" He asked softly with a sigh of relief escaping from his lips

"Yup, ever since the day we met I felt this weird connection and" Without being able to finish her sentence she felt Alistair's lips smack against her forcefully, rough almost. She found herself in a daze as she felt his tongue slip into her mouth which she didn't reject. She returned the kiss not caring if anyone was watching them. A moan escaped from her lips as he felt her push her back up against the brick wall. Her cigarette now had fallen into a dirty puddle on the ground that was next to them.

Alistair pulled away slowly, his nose and forehead touching hers "I love you Madeline Crosswell" His voice velvety and smooth which caused Madeline to melt on the inside. She was lost for words at what had just happened, but there was no doubt that she loved him and now she knew he loved her.

"Sorry to interrupt this little love fest, but we have a queen and her army to destroy" Xander spoke up as him and Amelie were now standing outside the nightclub. Everything from here was about to change, but in the end, as the old saying goes, two heads are better than one.
