She Doesn’t Know
Black.
Black is all she sees.
She’s looking around wildly, trying to find some sort of light. Some sort of way out of this darkness.
She turn in circles and runs in different directions.
Never knowing where she is, or where she is going.
She doesn’t know.
The darkness is blinding her.
Never letting her see.
She bumps into something, making her fall and crash to the floor.
But, there isn’t a floor.
So she just falls.
She’s spinning in the air.
Not knowing where is she is falling to.
She doesn’t KNOW.
She lands on something hard and lets out a small ‘hmph’.
She feels around and begins to crawl.
There is no direction in where she is crawling.
She’s on the floor, moving to a place unknown to her.
She DOESN’T KNOW.
Her head hits against something hard.
She looks up and feels around with her hands.
It’s a wall.
She begins to move towards her left; hoping to find a door.
Her hand hits something round and cold to the touch.
She grabs it and twists her hand to the right.
It turns and she hears a click.
She pulls it towards her.
It was a door.
It opens.
Light floods in the room and she turns to see where she was.
She screams when she sees what’s there.
Two walls are black while the other two were white.
The white walls are now covered in blood.
There are bodies lying on the floor; completely disfigured.
She looks up and sees a hole in the roof.
The one she fell through.
Blood is dripping from the sides of the hole.
And if she squints just enough, she can see that the hole ends 3 flights up.
She doesn’t recognize the house she is in.
She doesn’t recognize the people.
She can’t hear anyone else there in the house with her.
She doesn’t know what happened.
SHE DOESN’T KNOW.
She turns towards the door and sees that it leads outside.
She begins to run towards it.
But before she can take a step, someone grabs her from behind.
That person covers her mouth as her eyes widen in fear and realization.
She knows.
That person drags back into the bloody house and shuts the door.
Bringing her back to the darkness.
Taking her away from the light.
And killing her.
Xxxxx
Pills
She’s lying on her bed.
Staring at the fan.
Watching it go in circles.
Wasting time.
Killing time.
Waiting.
Waiting for it to work.
Waiting for the pills.
She feels a rush to her head.
She knows it’s beginning.
So she closes her eyes.
And begins the ride.
