Something about...

Elevators...

Cade's apartment complex was huge. He liked living on the top floors. In a building search you always go from bottom-up. So, in a sense, if you lived on the eighth floor then you would have the time it takes to search the seven floors below for you to get the hell outta dodge. If they know what floor you're on, then you've got the elevator ride up to get the fuck out.

Another advantage, this was an old building, and elevators moved at a crawl.

So, imagine it: it's been a long night and the wakefulness of a couple of twenty year olds hasn't faded yet. You're standing in the elevator, alone, maybe eleven pm or so. You've had a great night with your partner, you're looking across from them in this little six by six room.

Maybe it was raining, she's got her hair plastered to her cheeks and drops running down her chest.

Or maybe sex is the only thing either of you have thought about for days, you're finally reunited or have the privacy to go at it like bunny rabbits.

You're standing in the elevator, watching the numbers count up and up.

It's so late, no one else is getting on.

Something about...

Both had some cocktails on the plane as they head back. They had a late arrival time - around seven pm - and wanted a good nap and perhaps a quick dinner. Dinner could easily be ordered so the suitcases could be unpacked and showers had.

The only thing between them and the apartment?

The elevator.

It had a maximum capacity of six persons, had made creepy noises on at least two occasions, and has only gotten stuck for more than a minute three times in its lifetime, and never more than fifteen minutes. A mildly rickety but ever dependable elevator.

Evie, with Cade and luggage in tow, filed into the elevator.

He pressed the eight button, the lobby remained eerily quiet, and no other passengers came on. The doors slid closed.

"I wasn't expecting to have so much fun on that trip." Evie told him honestly.

"I liked it too, yeah." He replied noncommittally, leaning against the back wall. "I'll never forget the way your ass looks a tiny bathing suit." He grins, and Evie rolls her eyes at him.

Ding! First floor.

Leaning against the back wall, Cade swept his gaze over her ass in tight jeans. She looked even prettier than usual with sun kissed blonde hair and skin, windswept curls.

Cade stepped up behind her, tucking a hand into her pocket.

Evie looked up at him through her lashes. "Are you being naughty?"

Second floor.

Cade pulled up her chin. "Oh, yeah."

Evie turned and wound her hands around his neck. "So."

He smiled crookedly, a sort of childish smile that was rare for him. She was usually the victim of the leering smile. "So."

"You've got how many more weeks of winter vacation?"
