Sadie hugged Grandma Rosie tightly.

"What do you say?" Asked Patricia as she raised her brows at Sadie.

"Thank you, Grandma Rosie." Sadie said with the softest voice.

Grandma Rosie smiled, "That's alright, my sweet." She helped Sadie up onto her lap as she watched Patricia and Steven stand from the couch and head into the kitchen. "This blanket belonged to me when I was young. It's a very special blanket. My mother had bought it for me because when I was a child, I was afraid of the dark. She told me that whenever I felt scared or even sad, that I should pull the blanket over my head and imagine that I'm someplace else. And do you know what?" Grandma Rosie asked.

"What?"

"It worked! I imagined that I was the captain of a pirate ship and suddenly it came true." Grandma Rosie replied.

Sadie's big green eyes lit up. "Really?" She asked.

Grandma Rosie nodded and said, "One-hundred-per-cent true. Because, I'll tell you a secret," then she leaned in closer and whispered, "this blanket... is magic."
