Surprise Visit

A dark haired woman with a familiar face sat in the waiting area flicking through her phone looking up once in a while. As Arizona walked past, she spotted the dark haired woman and sped up her pace so that she wouldn't be seen by the woman. Quickly, she shot Hanna a text.

I think there's someone here for you. X

Arizona waited a couple of minutes checking back every so often.

"Uh it's Dr. Robbins," the nurse said looking back up at Dr. O'Reily.

"Well, what does it say?" Hanna asked as she continued to work on her patient.

"She thinks that there's someone here for you," she told Hanna looking down at the phone again.

"Text back," Hanna told her, "'I know, can you tell her I won't be too long now?'."

"Okay, do you want me to put a kiss?" The nurse asked looking back up from the phone, "she put a kiss."

"Uh... Sure," Hanna chuckled smiling beneath her scrub mask.

Arizona took a deep breath after reading the text and walked over to the waiting area.

"Eliza?" She said making Eliza turn in her seat to face Arizona.

"Arizona?" She said looking slightly scared.

"Um," Arizona laughed avoiding eye contact with her ex- girlfriend, "Hanna wanted me to tell you that she shouldn't be much longer."

Eliza smiled awkwardly and nodded, "Thanks."

Standing awkwardly for a moment, Arizona looked around to see if here was anyone who she could run to. Just then Bailey came round the corner. Quickly, Robbins fast walks across the open space to the chief of surgery.

"Bailey thank God," Arizona said breathlessly slightly out of breath from the unexpected exercise, "I thought I might have to stand there forever then."

"Is that?" Bailey asked frowning in the direction that Arizona came from, "Eliza Minnick?"

"Yeah," Robbins said giving Bailey the 'I couldn't believe it either' face.

"Why's she here?" Bailey asked suspicious, "she looking for a job?"

"No," Arizona told her looking back at Eliza again.

"Good," Bailey said bitterly, "glad to know the woman knows better than to come back into my hospital and ask for a job I fired her from back."

"She's here to see Hanna," Arizona said turning back to Bailey as she waited for a reaction.

"O'Reily knows Minnick?" Bailey almost laughed.

"Yeah they've been friends since they were five," Arizona told her.

"Well, when you click with someone you click," Bailey sighed looking back down at her tablet, "on with your work Robbins."

Arizona nodded and scuttled up the stairs as fast as she could.

"Hey," Hanna said pulling her coat on as she walked up to the waiting area, "sorry it took so long."

"No problem," Eliza smiled getting up from the seat eager to leave, "just don't make me come here next time please."

"Alright," Hanna beamed at her friend, "I'll have Benjamin stay in for you next time, you can wait at my place."

"Thank you," Eliza said pulling in her friend for a hug, "this does mean your not getting any pierogi until tomorrow?"

"What?" Hanna asked pulling back looking very disappointed, "but I'm hungry, you promised pierogi."

"It's too late for pierogi," Eliza told her guiding Hanna out of the building, "you can grab food on the way home, it's like eleven, I'm not making pierogi now."

"But, pierogi," Hanna begged as they walked into the darkness.

"But, jet lag, I wanna sleep," Eliza said putting her arm over Hanna's shoulders.
