Amelia sat in a chair across from Hanna in the visiting room.

"How long are you gonna be in here?" She asked eating chips.

"Well, sixty days is madatory but I always stay seventy just to make sure I'm okay," Hanna told her taking a chip out of Amelia's packet.

"I miss you down there you know," she said putting the chip packet down, "down in surgery. It's like I got no one to talk to."

Hanna laughed slightly at Amelia's whining.

"Like yeah I got me sisters and Alex can be entertaining but," Amelia explained, "it's like in highschool when your best friend would be off ill and you'd feel abandoned all day. Except, you'll be off ill for longer than a day. Seventy days to be exact."

"I won't be back to work straight away anyway," Hanan told her making her situation worse, "patient safety and all I have to be stable for a while before they sign off on me cutting into people again."

Amelia look comically disappointed, she knew that Hanna needed to stay but that doesn't stop her wanting her friend back to normal. As they were talking Amelia's pager went off.

"Sorry, I'll be back," Amelia said getting up from her seat, "maybe, I don't know. I'll try."

Hanna smiled and watched her leave.

A couple of hours later, Leah came to update her on her patients.

"Mr Daniels is being discharged today and he hopes that you get better soon," she said going through the charts, "and miss Scott is still in the CCU."

"Thank you Leah," Hanna said warmly, she paused for a moment as she watched her continue to flick through the charts but then she snapped back to reality, "and Jackson? How's he?"

"Has he not come to visit you recently?" She asked closing the charts.

"Not recently no," Hanna told her uncomfortably, "he's busy with this big case though."

Leah nodded as not to argue with Jackson's lack of visitation to his fiance.

"I don't know," Leah said not that interested in Jackson, "I haven't heard anything so I think he's fine."

"Okay," Hanna said, still staring at Leah who continued to fill her in on medical advances and hospital gossip.
