"Avery?" Amelia said walking over to stand by Jackson who was also watching Hanna, "can you explain this?"

"No but I don't wanna jinx it," he said not taking his eyes off her, "so don't question it, she's happy."

"She just woke up like this?" Amelia continued to question, "this isn't normal."

"Leave it Amelia," he told her as Hanna stood ready to leave for work, "she's happy, let her be happy."

Amelia frowned still worried about her friend but followed the couple out  the door anyway.

Through out the day Dr O'Reily continued to display odd behaviour but went unquestioned due to the fact that everyone knew that she was grieving.

"Yeah of course it's possible," she told the patient, "we'll have to rethink the approach but nothing is impossible."

Hanna gave them a smile and walked out the room followed by Dr Grey who looked quite panicked.

"What the hell are you doing?" She exclaimed turning on Hanna, "I get that you're grieving and it sucks but you can't act all crazy with someone's life."

"I'm fine, I know what I'm doing," Hanna said reassuring Grey, "relax okay, I'm not crazy and we got this."

"I hope so," Meredith said angrily, "or we're getting sued, like big time."

After the surgery, Meredith stormed back to the attendings lounge to wind down after narrowly avoiding losing the patient.

"I can't believe it," she ranted to Alex who also was in the lounge, "she promises this big fancy surgery without any idea of how to do it then arrives seconds before I cut into the patient with a plan. Thank God it worked."

"Maybe she has a brain tumor," Alex said casually, "sounds like something Amelia would do."

"Don't say that Alex," Mer sighed slamming into the couch next to him, "because then she'd be sick and not a nut case so I'd feel bad for being mad at her."

"Listen Mer," Alex said getting serious for a moment, "she's sad right? She's gonna do something stupid. She's not crazy and she's not got a brain tumor. Calm down, she took a risk. That's it."
