"Ah how nice it is to be back in Korea!" You exclaimed in English, causing the Natives to inspect you as you got off the plane.
It was a nice day in Seoul, not to hot or cold. It did drizzle a small bit, making you worry about if you world make it to your new job on time. You had been hired at big hit, a music production company, and on a five year contract. You were positioned as the translator for a group called bts. You had heard them on the radio a few times in Korea, but otherwise they were unknown to you.
"Hm, so two lefts and a right?" You mumbled aloud, still in English.
That's right, English.
It was a bit odd for a Korean native to suddenly be spouting English in the middle of the street, but you made the foolish decision to learn English as a child. Well, it wasn't really foolish, considering it has paid for your essential needs for almost five years now.
You walked past various shops with various things. One of which had a deal on pizza, which you were very tempted to get. You were practically starving.
As you walked farther down the streets you saw the giant building come into view. It had the company logo on the side and glass windows, reflecting the moody grey and blue sky. The sign alone was probably more expensive than your life.
As you walked closer, less and less people surrounded you. You guessed because it was working hours at the company, but you knew little. You walked up to the shiny doors and pressed open the reveal a small woman with dark hair at a desk, most likely the receptionist.
"Ah, Miss (L/n)," the woman exclaimed, picking up a few things in the process, "here's your ID badge and rules about dress code and such. Go to floor 16 and to room #23. They should be there!" She said with enthusiasm. She seemed friendly. You gave her your thanks and proceeded to the room.
You could practically feel your nerves screaming at you, telling you to turn back. But as guided, you went into one of the three elevators to go up. As you arrived at the 14th floor, that pizza place you passed suddenly seemed more inviting.
The floor was lined with photos of gorgeous people dancing, singing, and even just posing. Small plaques were under each picture, describing the persons name and band or their stage name.
Your were afraid to even step on the overly decorated silver and blue carpet. Your Converse highs, ripped jeans, and long sleeve sweater were no match for the fanciness of this place. You were overwhelmed. What if these guys wore monocles and top hats?!
You gripped your papers in hand as you made your way down the hallway, mentally screaming at yourself about how these guys could be sitting in a circle with a bottle of champagne, waiting for you to mess up and get fired.
No (Y/n), you thought to yourself. That's not even the worst case scenario. They could be all impossibly hot and make you melt within a 10ft radius. Suddenly you hoped for the rich guys.
When you finally reached room 23 you took deep breaths. This is going to be your life for five years, deal with it.
You opened the door. And almost fell down laughing.
Inside was a bunch of 20 year olds all on the floor and laying around sweating. They were all screaming variously and throwing things at each other.
You entered without a second thought.
You let the door close on its own, gaining the attention of most of the boys.
"Hello. Uhm... my name is (y/n) (l/n) and I'll be your new translator." You said.
"What?" You heard an angry voice from across the room. Looking over you saw, unfortunately and extremely attractive man making his way over to you.
"You must be in the wrong room. We already have a translator." He said, paying attention to your ID badge.
"You are Bts right?" You asked. You felt small compared to this man.
"Yes, and I already translate." He said.
"Listen here!I-... this is my assigned group. I'm also set to move into your apartment." You said, going from am afraid yell to almost a whisper in front of this man.
"What?!"
Hello, I'm an ugly rat. I hope you enjoy.
