Calum woke up to the sound of his band members singing extremely off key.
With a sigh of frustration he sat up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as he threw his legs over the side of the bed before getting up with a groan. He walked out of his room, clad with only his black boxers and a messy bed head as he entered the living room. "Why the hell are you yelling?" he asked groggily as he squinted at his best friends. He rolled his eyes at the scene, most of them barely dressed wearing only their boxers and t-shirts as the played Guitar Hero vivaciously.
With Ashton at the microphone, Michael on the guitar, and Luke on the drums, together they sang an earsplitting cover of 'Girl' by the Beatles not seeming to care on how they sounded just the amount of points they achieved. They didn't even glance at Calum or his vexed state as he waved them off, walking back into his room.
He looked at his reflection in the mirror, trying to remember what he had planned for that day before he remembered the date he had set up with Diana. He sighed realizing he had no idea where to take her, having completely bullshitted it being a surprise just hours before. He had to actually put in effort for this considering he was trying to pursue a relationship with her even if it was against his will. That meant he couldn't be lazy, even if Diana was a fan it was plain to see she didn't take any shit, almost turning Calum down for asking for her number seconds after meeting her. She was realistic and Calum could admire that, but nevertheless it made the situation harder. Half of Calum just wished Diana was so fan crazy she'd be satisfied and agree with anything and everything he did, but even he knew that would get annoying quickly.
He couldn't pull his regular moves on her either, since he used them on girls he wanted to sleep with and Diana in this case was more than that. Calum was being forced to actually try, and in short, didn't like it.
He sat on his bed trying to think of a location for his date in less than six hours, but his mind drew a blank, realization of how little he knew on Diana's interests settling in. Defeated, knowing he couldn't do this on his own, he exited his room, approaching the boys who were this time singing Elton John oh so elegantly. Calum flinched as Ashton made his voice break on purpose, the other two boys laughing as Calum just stared at them clearly irritated.
"You look like hell," Michael observed as Calum flipped him off causing the blonde to roll his eyes. "Where were you last night? You didn't come home 'til like two," Michael asked once the song finished as Calum took a seat on the couch shrugging his shoulders.
"I need advice," he said plainly, ignoring Michael's inquiry as he leaned back on the couch, the boys turning towards him, their attention captured. They stared at him blankly for a few seconds, Calum taking this as his sign to go on. "I have a date with Diana tonight, but I don't have the slightest idea on where to take her."
"Just take her where you take all your other girls," Luke shrugged as Calum shook his head almost immediately.
"No. I need like an actual date spot, not some shitty look out point," Calum spoke, his patience wearing thin. "I can't just treat her like some chick who wants to get in my pants. I have to treat her in a way that makes her wanna date me."
"I'm sure she already wants to," Michael chuckled. "When we met her she could barely say a word to you."
"She's a logical person, she knows better than to just accept me asking to be her girlfriend like a week after meeting her Michael. She's not some dumb bimbo, that's your type not mine," Calum mumbled, his bad mood evident. However, if you'd asked him why he was in such a mood he wouldn't have been able to tell you. This entire situation with Diana just seemed to piss him off, which was something he knew he had to work on or else he'd end up lashing out at her when she had no fault.
