It had been two weeks since Diana and Calum's last fight.

With things mostly settled the two were seemingly inseparable, going on dates every other day and Calum coming over to Diana's house every few nights to cuddle with her and watch a movie or simply just hang out. He'd even met Elizabeth once again (which Diana found to be a terrible awkward situation for some reason). Elizabeth had given him the best friend run down about how if he hurt Diana, her fist would become wonderful friends with his face. Diana assured Calum it was a joke but he had just nervously laughed and shook it off which she found adorable.

One odd thing Diana had come to find, however, was that when ever she asked to come over to Calum's place, he was always busy. But if she would come to ask him to come over twenty minutes later he'd suddenly be free. She didn't want to pry or complain about it after the little episode the both of them had had just two weeks ago, but she'd be lying if she said it didn't bother her.

Diana was determined about talking to Calum about it today... just gently. She knew he was a busy guy and was already very amazed at how he made time for her given his schedule, but she knew if she didn't speak up it'd bother her until she did.

Diana sat on her couch, lounging in a pair of Adidas sweatpants and one of Calum's hoodies he'd left a few nights ago. While it may have been a good ninety plus degrees outside, inside Diana's apartment it was always a cool sixty eight, and she liked to keep it that way. She would choose bundling up instead of raising the temperature on the thermostat any day hence the get up.

Anxiously chewing on one of the pull strings, Diana scrolled through her messages before opening up hers and Calum's and sending him a quick text.

hey cal

It never took long for Calum to respond, so she wasn't surprised when her phone chimed a few seconds later.

'Diana?'

Diana furrowed her eyebrows at his response.

yes? it's me?

Again the reply came quickly.

'Oh cool, it's Ashton.'

Diana's eyes widened as she gripped her phone tightly. Shit. Ashton? One of Calum's best friends and another member of the band she adored? She took a deep breath as she stared at the text. Calum had yet to introduce her to the rest of the band and ever since the meet and greet she hadn't even spoken to them again. She was caught off guard to say the least.

ashton ? uh what are you doing with cal's phone ?

Diana felt like her reply was so stupid but knew better than to dwell on it.

'He left it out in the open unlocked, so he should have known better haha'

Diana rolled her eyes. It sounded exactly like Calum. Over the past few weeks she had come to find out Calum could be a bit reckless with his belongings, losing his phone a few minutes after arriving to her place and even once leaving his keys in his locked car.

sounds like calum alright

'How come we haven't met you yet? Well again?'

Diana smiled a bit, happy Calum's friends actually wanted to meet her.

that's a question for calum, not me. every time I try to come over you guys are busy. like yesterday when you were writing.

'Writing? Writing what?"
