Hey, everyone, before we get into this, I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry about how low quality the picture is. It's just there as a reference to which clone wears what armor. Now that that's out of the way, enjoy this new story. Be sure to leave a comment to let me know what you think. Feedback and critiques are always appreciated.

The gunship's soft hum permeated throughout the hull. Of the twenty seven men there, none of them said a word.

"I don't give a dwang if you have to remove the blaster compartments on the wings," Jet remembered their pilot, Gel, shouting at the engineers only two days before. "I want a shield generator installed on this thing."

"While you're at it, would you mind adding one to my vehicle too?" Burn asked as he walked past the spectacle.

"Yeah, and how's about you cover up that gunner's seat so I'm not that kriffing exposed, eh?" Vaarc chimed in. But the time for cutting up with their brothers in the hangar was over. Now it was time to focus. Jet's mind raced to find the right words to say. His CO sure didn't tell him.

What am I supposed to say? he thought, Hi, my name's Jet and these are my brothers. We're here to help you with the problem that you have. Oh, what's that? You don't need soldiers to help fight but you just need everyone to be evacuated from the planet and have the shabuir burned? Too bad. He shook the thought from his head. It was too late to have any doubts. He checked his equipment and continued on in silence with his brothers.

Aside from the grotesque monstrosities that littered the outside of the wall, the scenery was quite gorgeous. Gel sighed in admiration, something he didn't do very often anymore, then flicked a switch to activate the comms.

"This is your pilot speaking," he said, adding life to his shuttle. "We're making our approach on the second interior wall. There's a small town-like structure up ahead. I'll set us down over there."

"This has been one of the most lousy flights I've ever been on," one of his brothers, Ani, groaned. "None of you guys offered us a bag of peanuts or anything." Gel heard chuckling behind him. He checked the 360 camera in his helmet and saw his co-pilot, Trytt, shaking his head.

"You can forget about your frequent flyer points then, chakaar," Trytt responded sternly as Gel set the gunship down at a clearing near the outskirts of the "town", startling people and horses alike. When Gel peered out of the cockpit, he saw several men and women with green coats and large boxes on either leg. Every single one of them had two blades drawn.

"This looks like a friendly neighborhood," El, one of the ball-turret gunners, said over the helmet comms. Gel wasted no time and opened the blast doors on El's side.

"Okay, boys," Gel said, "I don't want any fighting near my baby. Take it somewhere else." Gel gave a thumbs up to the people outside of his gunship. "Tell the locals hi for me."

"Commander!" a man came racing towards Keith and Erwin. Erwin had just stepped out of the carriage when the soldier approached them. The man acknowledged Erwin with a nod before turning to the regiment's commander in the carriage and saluting.

"What is it?" their worn-down leader asked. Keith's face hid nothing. Countless had died under his command and the toll it had taken on him showed.

The man lowered his hands and frantically said, "There are unidentified people in armor at one of our training grounds." Erwin and Keith looked at the man quizzically before looking at each other. They both bore the same look. Armored men? Erwin thought.
