In My Head

Note: That's right! I'm baaaaack, a bit early but yeah lol ;) Play my favorite video (as well as inspiration for this one shot) above for enjoyment or just to go along with the one shot - whichever you choose, lovelies ^_^ Man, I'm glad to be back!! ;) Also I'm going to post one shots within the next couple of days building up to the premiere in case...well, you know :(

I grinned as the stereo blasted out a familiar song and suddenly, I found myself head-bobbing to the beat in the middle of a darkened, deserted Walmart...along with a couple of walker corpses, of course.

"Everybody's looking for love, oh! Ain't that the reason you're at this club? Oh!" Jason Derulo sang out loudly.

"You ain't gon' find it dancing with him. No! I've got a better solution for you, girl, oh," I sang along as I took down a walker with my knife.

Blood gushed out the top of its head like a fountain and I grinned, pleased with myself. That was the last of them. Quickly, I gathered up my knapsack which held the supplies I'd collected and made my way to the front of the store where my motorcycle awaited me. I hopped on then and sped down the road, back to Alexandria. So technically...I wasn't supposed to be off killing walkers. But I didn't want to become weak.

This place was amazing and for the first time, it was a home. But...I felt like I was becoming helpless staying there. After what felt like forever, the familiar rusted, red wall came into view and the gate rolled open for me. The first face I saw coming was his. No surprise there.

In my head, I see you all over me

I bit my lip, feeling nerves rise up inside of me at just the sight of him. He was...breathtaking as he stood there waiting for me.

In my head, you fulfill my fantasy

His familiar sheriff's hat was slightly askew, leaving a fine gawking view of the luscious brown strands of hair underneath.

In my head, you'll be screaming more

My legs felt like jelly as I staggered off my bike while he walked over to where I was. Blue eyes connected to mine and I let out a shaky breath before smiling at him shyly.

In my head, it's going down

He smiled back at me and I struggled not melt into a puddle at his feet.

"Hey, I see you made it back just in time," he told me and I frowned in confusion.

But before I could even ask the question, he beat me to it.

"You haven't forgotten about the party tonight, have you?" he asked, arching an eyebrow in amusement at the scarlet blush now tinting my cheeks, "Well, just make sure you come, alright?"

I gave him a slight nod, unable to form words before he walked away. Inwardly, I cringed for not saying a word to him. I was such a chicken sometimes. It didn't take long though before night fell and I was standing in a corner at the mayor's house in my orange party dress.

Some dudes know all the right things to say

I could see Enid from here talking to Carl, twirling a strand of hair around her index finger before giggling at something he said. I rolled my eyes. She always knew what to say, though. And I never seemed to.

When it comes down to it, it's all just game, yeah

But it was only a game to her - it's not as if Carl actually meant something to her personally. He was just a conquest in her eyes.

Instead of talking, let me demonstrate

But what happened next astounded me so much, I could barely breathe. Carl stopped mid-conversation with Enid once his eyes fell on me. And before I knew it, he had walked up to me.

Get down to business and skip foreplay

My heart pounded in my chest as he greeted me. His ice-blue eyes bored into mine then, making time almost stop. It was like a dream - a crazy, reckless dream come true as he finally spoke.

Just leave with me now, say the word and we'll go

"Just leave with me now. Say the word and we'll go," he grinned, clearly already having noticed my discomfort at the party.

We can go

"We can go?" I repeated, my eyes widening in disbelief as his hand grabbed mine.

I'll be your teacher. I'll show you the ropes.

"I'll be your teacher. I'll show you the ropes," he winked, pulling me along after him as he led the way out to the back porch.

You'll see a side of love you've never known.

My heart raced in my chest as the darkness enveloped us and his hands found my hips, pulling me flush against him.

I can see it going down, going down

And suddenly, I knew what was about to happen. This was it - he was finally going to kiss me. Finally!

In my head, I see you all over me

Roughly, his lips found mine in the dark and after a moment of shock, my eyes fluttered shut just as my back hit the wall of the house.

In my head, you fulfill my fantasy

All of my fantasies of kissing Carl, being with him came true all in that one single moment as his hands roamed my sides and his lips moved down my neck.

In my head, you'll be screaming more

I bit back a sigh that welled up in my throat, my body warming all over from the contact of his fingers.

In my head, it's going down

His lips pressed butterfly kisses to my skin, making shivers run up and down my spine at his angelic touch.

My hands squeezed his biceps once before his mouth moved back to mine, deepening the kiss.

"You don't know how long I've wanted to do this," he mumbled against my lips before placing kisses along my jawline.

You're singing to me baby in my head right now

In my head as he kissed me, I could hear the long-forgotten words of that Jason Derulo song and I smiled. But it was no longer in my head - it was reality.
